Cardinals are the worst team ever

I somewhat agree with the original poster. I wouldn't go as far to say the Cardinals suck but for crying out loud look at their record, the teams they beat, and the ass whippings they took from many teams this year. They breached the playoffs with a 9-7 record. They showed up to play in the playoffs none the least, but I think there are plenty of teams out there that can beat team anyday of the week. All they have is a pass offense. Cardinals defense and run game isn't exactly Superbowl material.

I didn't root for the Cardinals, but I won't say that they didn't deserve to be in the Superbowl. You don't get there by magic. They had some great moments to get there. Maybe if they had gotten stomped like the Broncos in Super Bowl XXIV (55 to 10), THEN I'd say they had no business being in the Superbowl.

The Arizona defense just wasn't good enough. They've been sloppy and junky all year and it showed yet again in the Superbowl.

Who cares. Analyze all you want, but the thing is over. The offseason is upon us.

    • Everyone says AT was old and slow but the one thing he could do consistently was get separation. That takes skill and it's been a huge issue in our WR for years. And while Moore may be a great locker room guy and our WR coach may be a 12 year vet, he's not playing in the game. Vets like AT do what they do because they can see things others don't and exploit it. The DB interview I mentioned before was with Stephon Gilmore after his DPOY season. He was pulling the younger DBs aside showing them things you wouldn't even think you'd be able to tell from the way the receiver was standing.  Seeing what a DB or LB is biting on in game that can give you that half step advantage is huge and we don't have that experience in our WR group right now and I think it could end up hurting us. None of our receivers have lined up against NFL corners successfully on a regular basis. Having someone that can walk over and give you a tip to get a half yard separation can be a difference maker.
    • We only fielded about 4 NFL calibre players on that unit last year.
    • only 1 QB in the history of mankind has managed a winning record with his opportunities in the David Tepper era.    Bring in PJ.   He has NFL tools.  He will at least be entertaining if called upon.  How is that not better than Andy.  *PJ Walker bandwagon is back up now that it is....not...time for for the percolator.
