Possible trade scenario with the Eagles

This is all hypothetical of course but what would everyone think of trading the number 1 pick for Kevin Kolb, the Eagles 1st rounder and second rounder?

We would get a young QB with good measurables and some experience. We also get some extra picks for us to build around him. I am not sure if there would be someone that the Eagles would want that high but you never know.

1.) Kevin Kolb is an upgrade over every QB on our roster.

2.) Who knows what style offense we will be running we don't even know who our head coach is at this point.

3.) It isn't just our 1st rounder it is THE 1st over all pick their picks are around 30th and 60th, so it would be fair in relation to where their picks are.

4.) It's hypothetical and gives us something to discuss don't take it personal

This is not Madden or baseball. Trades don't happen in the NFL that often but they get talked about here every day for some reason.

So you think there is zero possibility that we don't trade out of the first pick? I think Hurney would be glad to get some extra picks now that Luck is not a factor.

We need help at more than one position and we need a QB. So we either trade down get some extra picks a possibly a future QB or reach on one of the rookie QB with the top over all pick because they wont be there at the top of the third.

What would you do?

The biggest challenge is finding a team that wants that top pick, which probably will not happen.

Nice dream, but impossible.

    • Biiiiiig eyeroll on this.  First, Look at historical stats of the most recent historical great DBs.  I plucked 3, Revis, Sherman, and Norman (cuzz he was our guy).  Combined post age 30, there are TWO pro bowls between those 3 and wanna get this...ZERO seasons with 16 games started.  ALL missed time.  It is RARE that Corners survive that long in the NFL and its about time we started recognizing this fact.  Jaycee is a good bet because it hasnt been anything seriously devastating injury wise, and with his sample size he could and should be an incredible piece for the panthers through age 30. Jaire kinda flops on the other side, hes 28...so hes under 30, but he wants his payday before it comes up, hes also been injury prone lately.  Bulk of the contract will be on opposite side of 30.  Will both of these guys help us be better in 2026?  SURE!  No doubt, but the question is, will these guys help us past 2026...not sure. The investment isnt worth the risk, nor would the ROI be anywhere close to worth it.  Neither guy is moving us from a 6-8 win team to a 8-10 team, period. My point is we're in this state a 6-8 win team IMO and he projects us as  a 4-6 win team.  EVEN if we think Jaire or Ramsey will make us a 6-8 win team, it in NO WAY is worth the money or capital to move that much just to suck kinda less.
    • I assumed he was retiring but apparently he plans on playing multiple more seasons.  Florida is gonna have trouble holding onto everyone.  Happens to all teams that have that much success.
    • I hate Marchand, but if he became a free agent.....
