Panthers considering holdovers from Fox’s staff

the scheme was much more of an issue. it was incredibly predictable and crowded the middle with blockers. it also got abused because of the schemes used against it with so much blitzing going on. no way 5 guys can block 8 with 2-3 blitzers on every play coming from every direction.

also, magazu had a lot less to work with. the right side of the field was a mess and that wasn't magazu's fault. with otah out it really screwed everything up.

    • You're right but then we did it again this season I think on defense with 2 young players who I think are going to make a huge difference for us in Moehrig and Wharton.
    • Kalkbrenner and Sion James received regular contracts and not two ways, so the Hornets have some work to do to cut the roster size down.
    • Gustavsson would be insane. I think we would have to break the bank to afford that move. Which, I don't think is necessarily a bad idea. Ultimately, Freddie isn't likely to be around more than a couple of seasons more. We can all agree that unless they have a fleet of sports psychologists working on Kochetkov, he will never be capable of getting his head on straight enough to compete.
