Don't be surprise if the Panthers move in next few years

I know I know... The big cat said that our Panthers will never leave this place but business is business and no pay no play. Wishful thinking not always works.

Now, why do I say that? The Charlotte is known to be a banking city, 2nd largest banking city in the United States. Soon its not going to be the case. Wachovia is no more and headquarters will not be in Charlotte. I know some people that have an inside scoop on many banks in this area (people that do big internal work for the banks). I knew Wachovia will fold 4 months before it actually did. The same source told me that the headquarters of Bank of America 80% guaranteed to leave Charlotte in next 2 years. If this happens, departure of Wachovia and Bank of America will cost Charlotte around 100,000 jobs and millions in revenue. Many intellectual business people will force to move and that means more revenue will be lost. It will be like a chain reaction so dont be surprise if Charlottes population will have a negative grow.

If this happens it will definitely impact Panthers as a business.

why would BoA have to gain if they leave?? and wouldn't it be in Charlotte's best interest and NC's at that to make sure they have enough tax breaks that they will never leave?

If Detroit can keep a team amidst these economic woes, then any city can.

I could be wrong, but I am thinking that North Carolina, and the rest of the South will still see the biggest growth/loss in the same proportions that it has in the last 20 years once all the dust settles. It's just a hypothesis on my part.

BoA always wanted to move to a big city like New York or Chicago it just matter of time. Tax breaks r not everything, brand name is more important in my opinion.

so the Panthers will move because the "Queen" city is acting like a bitch?

Ummm, NO......

Dont you realize that sports is one of the things that benifit from a ression? People want an outlet from reality, and they want something they can have hope in.

The Panthers will always remain in Charlotte, and the people will see to that.

do you really believe that to be the case in the age of the internet though, if the internet has proven one thing it's no body cares where your from as long as your product is good.

If Charlotte is no longer viable, there is another option in the Carolinas. Raleigh has been on the up despite the economic turndown, IT and pharmaceuticals are doing just fine. I honestly think this area could support a pro football team just as well as Charlotte does (~1.5 mil people in the triangle area) - the number of people that turn out for NCSU football games is not too much smaller than what you find at an NFL game. I'm not saying Carter-Finley is suitable, but there are still plenty of places that a new stadium could be built. People here love their sports, they sure took to the Hurricanes quickly when many said hockey couldn't hack it in ACC sports country.

I hope that Charlotte pulls through ok, got a lot of friends there, but there's a good chance the Panthers could flourish in Wake County if it totally collapsed.

Dude, I'm not saying youre an idiot, but your information is misguided. My father works for Wachovia/Wells Fargo, he handles most of their insider TV programming and has access to alot of information I will guarantee you don't. The headquarters for Wachovia and Wells Fargo is going to be split between here and San Fransisco.....case and point, the 60 story WACHOVIA tower still being built right near the stadium. Youre fear is understandable, but misplaced.

    • You honestly think Tampa would have traded down with a division rival so their rival could land a “generational player” at a massive position of need for TB?   bruh
    • Ya'll better quit throwing shots at Zod. He'll come in here and ban everybody. I had a friend @prosource who was banned in 2015 because he said some very minor things about Zod being an ass to the posters on the main forum after starting the All-Pro one. He said he felt like another level is cool, but don't punch down on people that don't want All-Pro. (He did say that it wasn't going to last long anyways.🤔) I distinctly remember him calling and being like "dude, I got banned, my profile says I don't have access to the Huddle!") I feel like once Tepper came in and cut off all unofficial access to the team, Zod was going to be around less. The All-Pro board had really good photos, even in game stuff, and I remember seeing him behind a little fenced in area at Wofford for non team sanctioned press/photographers after Tepper bought the team. I knew then his ego wouldn't allow him to continue with past fervency and effort with that reduction in access. Dude was literally in the locker room when JR was owner.  I came over in 2011 immediately after finding out this place existed. I was super involved with the Charlotte forum, and fell off after its demise. I will never forget arguing Pep over Ryan Sims on that forum! Who is Ryan Sims some of you may ask? My answer is exactly!
    • And not see him running free. Because has been free a lot more than he gets credit for.    Now what XL does with that when he does see the ball, is on him.
