Deangelo Williams stated he would walk if Skipper wasn't kept on board (per Gantt) in an article dated a few weeks back. He said he didn't want to play for any other coach. This could mean we are going in a different direction. For the Panthers sake, I hope we can secure D-Will.

He didn't say that. He said that Skipper staying would definitely have a big impact on his decision to resign here or not.

Skipper is a great coach.....but he was Fox's right hand man. He probably represents the "old way" more than anyone. I think it is probably wise for Rivera not to keep someone who was on the same page of Fox to degree Skip probably was.

True enough. Now that I go back and read over my sources I read a little to much into it. Still, without Skipper D-Will has a higher percent chance of leaving.

not too surprised... it's a new staff, this was bound to happen. Skipper was tied very closely to Fox.

Lol come on guys the past 2 weeks everyone here praises the staff and now we get our panties in a bunch because they're not bringing our RB's coach back. Take a look at this list.

What do they all have in common? .... Talent. Sometimes players make coaches. Not saying it's completely true here in this case but Skipper is not the end all be all of what our RB's can be.
