Glad you can foresee the future and we are blessed with your extreme football knowledge on this board. Hell even scouts don't know what you know with certainty. With you there is no high/low risk involved with players, cause you all ready know what they will do in the NFL!!!!!

Can you please please get a position as GM of the Panthers so you can tell them all of the bust, sleepers, and studs of he draft since you know how all these players will perform in the NFL!!!! Someone get this guy in!!!!

I don't want Green with the #1 pick, but I think he's about as close to a sure-thing WR as you can get. Chances are solid that Newton could be a bust, but I don't even think Fairley will be.

With Fairley's potential, I think you've just gotta take a chance on him. He really could be a difference-maker for a long time on this defense.

Tbh, Fairley does have high bust potential. He is a one trick pony.. he can shoot the gap extremely well. Doesn't play with good pad level, and lacks the strength to play the run at the next level.

I also think Bowers has high bust potential, as he and Fairley both are 1-year wonders. I like to see consistency in my prospects. Especially Top Pick Prospects!

AJ Green is the only guy that has the amazing physical attributes to go along with his production, and consistency at the NCAA level. He would be my pick. Either him, or Gabbert.. depending how the FO thinks about Clausen.

First of all, there's no such thing as a "can't miss" draft prospect.

Second of all, I would not put Fairley or Green's bust potential in the same class as Cam Newton, simply because the QB position is the toughest position to transition from college to the NFL and Cam comes from a spread/option offense.

Fairley has been very good against the run for a UT.

His pad level has only been a concern late in games when he's tired, like a lot of players.

Fairley is not as good as a prospect as Gerald McCoy was last year. McCoy was exceptional at playing the run for a UT. No pun intended but I like my top pick to be a Jack of All Trades... he should be at least good at everything to warrant that type of pick, IMO.

But Fairley is MUCH better than McCoy was at pressuring the QB and collapsing the middle.

Also, Carolina already has enough young qb's, dont need anymore to add to the collection.

That's pretty much how I feel about it.

We've been wanting/needing a DT for a couple of seasons now, and guess what? We're in the prime position to take a very good one. And yet, there are fans who are dancing around the subject, thinking of adding another project to our QB position, and not upgrading where we need to.

OMG I want Cam Newton soooo bad!!!! I want a qb with 0 mechanics, 1 good year in college, and could probably slip to the 2nd round like Clausen, but please take him number 1!!!!

PLEASE GIVE me DT who doesnt play at pad level, lacks strength, and would cost as much as the extension the Raiders gave Terrel Sands with about the same skill level.

Oh sweet Jesus give me a WR named AJ Green when we aleady have Smith, Gettis and Leffell who had great rookie seasons...

Bowers gives us options, we can even slide CJ inside at times and have Bowers next to him with Hardy on the other side...(Giants of old) FA is where we can get some extra meat to fill the middle.

And Peterson gives us Charles Woodson plain and simple.

    • Bryce has been in the NFL 3 years and still looks like a very mediocre QB. Most games are nothing but mediocre plays with a highlight reel every now and then.  He is a very INCONSISTENT QB and it’s very fustrating. He does not deserve a 5th year option, even though the Panthers and all the dumb asses in the front office will give it to him.
    • I’ve rarely ever been more sure of anything than losing out — but how can anyone say with a straight face “Bryce hasn’t improved, but Canales has and he’s masks his flaws”. You have to be so out of touch with reality to put one way above the other when discussing those two.
    • Last night was the classic example of a visiting team just holding on through the wave of emotion a home team has at the start of a big time game. Bama’s first two kickoff returns really set them back as far as playcalling and allowed OU to dictate field position. The emotion of the home crowd fed into what OU was doing at that point, and it felt like Bama would not be able to overcome that.     Once the kickoff returner was told to fair catch every kick, the game shifted, as Bama wasn’t starting each drive inside their own 15. It was then that Bama was able to make some plays, outscoring OU 34-7 the rest of the way.  I think the last 3/4 of the game proves Bama was the better team. OU was just able to ride the initial wave of emotion to a big lead, but Bama held on just enough.  However, had OU blocked the punt on Bama’s second drive and scored a TD (vice a FG on the ensuing drive), things likely would have been different.  Anyway, Roll Tide!
