we might have had one more win and still wound up with the first pick.

and you honestly think that BSP would have won more games than clausen? lol. fox/davidson was still calling the shots. our choices for QB would have been not much better than clausen if they were better at all (which i'm doubtful of). you have too high an expectation of what was available last year.

we wouldn't of had BSP if we didn't have Clausen. We would have at least had another QB as good as Moore to start the season.....and that is noticeably better than Clausen.

Clausen averaged almost an INT a game, a TD every three games, couldn't move down the field, and the only game he won he had his second least attempts of the season. Hard to do worse than that. And since its my believe, can't really be right or wrong. How is thinking somebody could do better closed minded? Thinking EVERY FA would be as bad as Jimmy is closed minded.

Don't know. wouldn't have gone into training camp and the season w/ just Moore and Pike. We had 4 QBs in camp. If Clausen is out of the picture they have someone else in camp. I don't think assuming they would have Moore caliber is a wild assumption.

you don't think there is a QB similar or even better than a Matt Moore we could have made an attempt to get during last offseason?? Moore ain't that good where that isn't obtainable. Moore on a good day could have easily won some games. The team was put in position to win some games and in big fashion with somewhat average QB play. The WR got into the endzone at a good pace for a running team w/ Moore in .....all we needed was a QB to not implode. Moore really played very little in 2010.....hard to claim the few bad quarters is what he really was also imo.

again, people like to take those comments as me endorsing Moore was great....he wasn't. Even in 2009 or the good moments in 2010. Carolina just had enough talent to be the joke they were....even w/ the lame Fox/Davidson running the show.

Can you imagine the disappointment if we drafted Clausen number 1 and then found out that he had the problems he had in 2010-next season. He may improve this season and we hope he does but I remember seeing him at fan fest and thinking he had an awful throw, poor mechanics, and questionable accuracy. It was surprising given all the positive hype. But I could justify it given he was a second rounder, we didn't pay that much etc. But the number 1 pick?? We can only hope that Shula is as good as Rivera thinks. Because Clausen won't start unless he looks 100% better between now and July if we get any FA vets in here to compete.
