wearing a football jersey out in public is ghetto as hell unless you're A) at the game or B) the day before/after a big game/win

Why? I don't actually own a footbally jersey of any sort (just a couple of Panther tshirts) but I don't understand this. What difference does it make if someone else wants to wear a jersey to a sports bar on a Friday or Saturday night?

Pie....I swear the only time you bring out a camera is at BoA! lol You need to tryout, and see if you can line up opposite of Beason IMO

LOL, thanks - but I didn't take this picture, it's something I found on the internet. Someone pointed out that Reebok wasn't the uniform supplier to the Panthers when Carruth played, so this ass-clown had this jersey custom made after the fact, LOL.

For the record, I have a Collins authentic jersey I bought before the '97 season... haven't worn it in YEARS.

I saw 3 seperate people with Panthers merch here today in San Diego. It makes me think we might be getting more Panthers fans here in Southern California because of Rivera. Hopefully it also means I get more Panthers games on TV, but I'd never want the Panthers to become the next national bandwagon team.

I don't think we have to worry about that.

Could've said the same about the Saints 5 years ago.

I believe our nation pulling for one of our most beloved cities to overcome one of the worst natural disaster's our country has ever seen had A LOT to do with that. I get what you are saying but if we win the SB in the next few years don't expect the nation to embrace us like the Saints.

I still sport my Walls jersey, what? And if she hadnt turned out to be so psycho, I would have gotten my Frank Reich jersey back from this broad back in '03...

Its ghetto to wear my jersey on any day not connected to gameday? Ridedafugout, opinions vary...

Wasn't me, as I don't own a jarrett jersey. He never made my qualifications for buying a jersey of his.

That being said...what is wrong with rocking older panther. Gear? Shows you've been a fan.

Regardless the name on the back of the jersey, its still a panther jersey, is it not?

Also, what do you do with jerseys of players who move on?

Just get rid of them? Stop wearing (if you wore it at all)?

If so, that's a lot of wasted money.

It is unavoidable, at some point, you will have more jerseys ofex players, than current players.

Don't retire them. Wear them with pride. If you chose wisely to begin with, what will be the issue?

    • Saw this show up in my new feed. Nice to see a couple of our rookies making it into the top 5 so far, even if it is a pff measure... From https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-top-15-rookies-week-9-2025 ... 4. TE Mitchell Evans, Carolina Panthers (78.7) Evans struggled in the Panthers’ tight win over the Packers, finishing with a 41.8 PFF overall grade — third worst among tight ends this week. He was not targeted in the game and played only one snap in pass protection. He did log 15 run-blocking snaps, and although he earned a 68.9 PFF run-blocking grade in zone looks (seven snaps), his 39.0 mark in gap schemes (second worst for the week) dragged him down to a 46.6 PFF run-blocking grade overall — sixth worst for the week. Despite seeing zero targets over his past two games, Evans still leads the Carolina tight end group with a 74.3 PFF receiving grade. He has caught all nine of his targets for 90 yards, six first downs and two touchdowns. Evans also leads the Panthers’ tight end group in PFF run-blocking grade (72.2). He has recorded a 20.5% positive play rate across 175 snaps.  5. WR Tetairoa McMillan, Carolina Panthers (78.6) McMillan had a better day against the Packers, recording four catches for 46 yards. Most of that production came in the first quarter via two 16-yard catches — one of which he snatched from Carrington Valentine’s hands, who was in perfect position to break up the pass. McMillan accounted for three first downs on the day, although Green Bay was able to limit his impact after the catch, holding him to 0.8 yards after the catch per reception. McMillan now has 41 catches for 558 yards — a top-15 mark. He is also tied for second with 19 explosive gains of 15-plus yards. Three of McMillan’s catches against the Packers came between the numbers, bringing him to 22 for 318 yards and 19 first downs (tied for second most) this season. He owns a 26.1% threat rate and a 76.6 PFF receiving grade between the numbers. He also ranks in the top 10 in explosive gains (10) and yards after the catch per reception (5.5) within that area of the field.
    • At least we don't need to hear overreacting about towels ...
    • Actually there is, try being a Charlotte Hornets fan. I mean the team fuging moved at its peak and hasn't recovered since and that was 25 years ago
