I don't recall on that. The guy who was the loudest Matt Corral fan was rippadon and he was always saying "let's eat" referring to Golden Corral. It was cringy. But I couldn't help but feel sorry for the guy. It's been tough being a Panthers fan that's for damn sure.

That's the game you're going to go by when Penn State has an elite front 7 vs. a much worse Boise State oline...Teams were just not able to run against Penn State this year

Not saying Jeanty is the greatest thing, but the talent disparity between those two teams was probably the biggest in the CFP behind maybe Penn State vs SMU.

There was a HUGE gap between ASU and Texas and Skattebo put up a legendary performance.

Penn State was 8th in run defense and Texas was 12th.

I think Jeanty is a very good RB prospect. But I do think people are really overrating him. I don't think he's special and they're getting caught up in his college stats and overlooking the reality that he doesn't contribute much at all as a receiver and that he was putting up those stats versus well below average competition. I just don't see the generational type RB prospect people are trying to make him out to be.

What does one have to do with the other? Teddy got plenty of chances with multiple teams. Howell got one full season with a soon to be fired head coach in Ron Rivera and then got sent packing.

Arizona state was definitely more creative getting a mismatch on skattebo in the passing game. Honestly, I thought that was the most impressive thing about skattebo that game (that and his ability to stay up after first contact).

I still don't think Texas' defense was particularly great and was a bit overrated. They managed to avoid the better offensive teams (at least passing ones) in the SEC.

But yeah, I still wouldn't draft a running back very high unless they are a freak athlete like Barkley or elite at running and receiving the ball like CMC

An elite back is a luxury and their shelf life isn’t long.  It’s better to use FA or a trade to make that happen when you already have a good team.

      The determination used for Spotrac and OTC are not clear to me. It does seem to heavily be weighted on playing time/starting but as we know that isn't always a determination of market value. BC I don't know if he will return to us. It depends on his recovery. That was a really bad injury to have for a guy that will be very close to the end of his career. I hope he recovers completely and we get 2-3 more years of excellent backup play from him. He has been quietly one of our most valuable lineman in a long time, despite being a backup. I am find keeping Corbett at the correct cost and as a backup. He has no business starting at Center anymore. Not to mention he can literally never stay healthy. I agree on EDGE and QB. Two biggest issues by a wide margin(amongst the PILE of other issues). We have a couple of young guys that look to be capable role player replacements for Jones/Wonnum, but it is time to shoot for the moon and get actual upper tier pass rushers into Carolina again.   Final note, when I am pooh-poohing these reserves that you are falling in love with, it's nothing special I am doing. A bit of "eye test" with a healthy dose of realizing that most backups are backups for a reason. Especially when they have gone through multiple free agent cycles and the league has resoundingly said, "Nah." Not everyone is Freddie Luvu. Most are Christian Rozeboom's.
