They tried. Not a good enough team to beat Florida. They are bigger faster and more talented. The effort wasn’t there for the whole series and that’s on Rod

That's OK, we'll be younger next year. Stank, Jank, Blake, and Boom.

Luckily we won't have orlov on this team next year. If we do keep burns, he needs to not be on the top line (although he did play a very good game four and five in the series).

We have to get second line scoring and at least another top 4 D in the off season. Wouldn't mind getting Provorov and our defense looking like this - I know he is a LD, but he is a lefty.

Slavin-Nikishin

Burns-Provorov

Ghost-Walker

Forwards will be tougher because we desperately need a top six C, but it would be really nice to get Ehlers.

He looked fine on his off side IMO. Could switch Provorov and Nikishin if need be

Lol You're talking about rod who wouldnt play him until he was down two righties.

Also orlov was the one playing offside sooooo.

Probably more likely to see this next season. With them focusing on signing three forwards.

Slavin Walker

Nikishin Chatfield

Morrow Ghosty

Got to remember that Nikishin, Morrow, Blake and Stankoven will all be RFA in 26.

I don't think we are having Morrow start in our top 6 next year unless free agency goes truly awful for us. Our front office (or at least Rod) would rather have Burns than Morrow

    • I’m not mad at Moehrig.  He’s great at what he does.  And to be honest, a lot of my favorite safeties in our history were box-first type guys - Maxie, Minter, Mike Mitchell, Chris Harris…  they’re first and foremost objective was to put people on their backs and coverage was secondary.  There is a place for that.  There is a definite need for that.  Physical guys that set the tone.  So cool, we have that in Moerhig. But what we have lacked for the vast majority of our existence is a true free safety that cleans everything up on the back end.  Sometimes they come in the form of a JOAT, like Peppers.  I think he would be a fantastic compliment to Moehrig’s strengths and weaknesses.  If we don’t go after him, I certainly hope Ransom is given the chance to grow and develop in real-time with real game reps, because what he did in preseason was very encouraging to see.  I hope he can grow into that roaming center fielder with a little bit of an edge to him as an enforcer as well.  He has the tools.  In the meantime, adding Peppers would only help.
    • Option 1 is most likely. Even if he kills it this year, it wouldn't be prudent to rush an extension for one good season. If you have to pay him more because you waited another year, then he earned it. And that's OK. Adjust accordingly.
    • Cam had the advantage of having a very strong supporting cast his first 2 seasons. Things definitely worsened later on. But those first couple of years can kill a QB. Some never truly recover. If they do recover it takes years, and usually with another team. Trying to learn to be an NFL QB with TEs and WRs that are trying to learn too is a recipe for disaster. Imagine if Cam's rookie season was that 2014 offensive squad. Changes everything! I said it when they moved up in 2023. This team wasn't ready for a rookie QB yet. Anyone that thinks Stroud would have been a lot better is delusional. The correct formula is to build a strong team and then you go get your rookie QB. Not the other way around. BY is going into his third season and we're still trying to put a respectable group of WRs and TEs around him. I think they have the right personnel now. Unfortunately they haven't developed into actual NFL players yet.  This season we should expect consistency and aggressiveness from BY. Mostly for his development but also to DEVELOP his young cast.
