Eckblad would have gotten 7-8 as a UFA.

I think Marchand is leaving.

The Carolina Hurricanes shared on Monday that they have issued qualifying offers to the following players, retaining the rights to five pending restricted free agents:

 

Skyler Brind'Amour

Domenick Fensore

Noel Gunler

Ronan Seeley

Ryan Suzuki

 

They have also traded a 2026 7th round pick for MTL goalie Cayden Primeau
