OK.  Done arguing with you.

You're upset Belichick was hired but have no reco on who the better hire would've been.

You're upset the roster sucks but have no reco on who the better recruits would've been.

You're the guy who gets in an uber, tells the driver he's going the wrong way, and then the driver asks "which way should I go" and you reply "I don't know, just not this way".

It's not my job to identify the candidates and the recruits. But I can tell you that the coaching and the playing is ass and that it wasn't a lack of resources issue.

Again, who would you have hired and recruited.  Revisionist history is for cowards.

Is it really revisionist history?  or was the UNC/Belichick hire always an obvious bad move that some just opted to do what sports fans do and work about convince themselves something not smart would be okay.

I mean, you could bump the thread from when Bill was first hired.  It was always dumb.  Bill isn't a college coach.

The Panthers shouldn't hire Dabo if somehow Canales got fired and Dabo was able to be talked out of Clemson.  I don't really need to give you a better name for Carolina to point out Dabo w/ the Panthers is just silly.

The idea fans can't complain without the direct ability / ideas to solve things is wild.

This ain't the first time that has been throw around in here. It's funny every time it comes up.

WeLl ThEy ArE pRoFeSsIoNaLz!!! YoU cAn'T dO aNy BeTtEr!!!!!

I mean, I can't do much worse either, right?

I could have told you Bill Belichick was a bad hire, and I did when it came up. I could have told you Matt Rhule was a bad hire, and I did. I could have told you that XL was a bad pick, and I did. Etc, etc.

It's the idea that far too many fans CAN come up with better and more reasonable solutions that infuriates us.

So glad they didn't draft Mason Graham. And they would have if he'd fallen to us - over TMac too. That kid just ain't a top 10 pick. He'll be ok by year 3, but he'll never be a Derrick Brown.

Yeah, he just doesn't look to have the physical makeup of a dominant NFL DL. How is that other Michigan DT looking? Because honestly when I went to go look at Graham it was the other guy who kept jumping out to me. I think Graham benefitted greatly from playing beside another legit high level NFL prospect and being able to routinely go up against single team blocks in college (a rarity for a top 10 NFL pick prospect) really helped him shine.

What's gonna be worse for UNC is their weak schedule will get them a bowl bid -- enough cause for Jordon and less-powerful athletic department leadership to consider the hire a win. Or, at least position it as one.

Aaaahhh... Bowls??!!! Don't talk about... bowls?! You kidding me??? BOWLS??!! I just hope we can win a game... another game.

    • The good thing about replacing a bad player is you really have nothing to lose. If their replacement is bad so what, you didn't get much worse and probably saved money.
    • I came over from the old Panthers Insider site. When Fox Sports bought that platform it slowly just started dying plus the guy who ran that site was dealing with some pretty significant health issues so the whole thing just slowly fell apart. Quite a few of us migrated over here. Not sure how many are still around.  I miss that place. It struck a nice balance of having enough active posters to keep productive conversation flowing but didn't have so much traffic that you end up with a lot of trolling BS. This place is getting there though since we shutdown new registrations but at some point we're going to have to open it back up or we'll watch this place slowly die off too as posters fall off for one reason or another. We just have to figure out a way to filter out the spam bots. It was a never ending battle to ban the spam bots to keep then from overrunning the site. You'd think they'd be a little more strategic. I mean, if you fill a site with nothing but spam people are just going to stop coming so it's not a sustainable model. But nope, every one of them makes dozens of duplicate threads filling up pages upon pages as soon as their account goes live.
    • lol...I don't remember that.  Although recalling what I had for breakfast yesterday is sometimes a challenge.  Hope it was a positive thing.
