Who is comparing the two QB’s as football players? They’re completely different QB’s

i said before Baker got here that he could play but the huddle swore up and down he was the worst ever 

Bryce very similar right now. Bryce out there with a bunch of guys that’ll be out of the league in a few years minus TMac.

And given this thread is about the 4th and 1 play specifically well it was actually TMac that butchered the entire play by running the wrong route

If you want to discuss the pieces around them and the coaching that's one thing. The aspect that cannot be disputed is they are night and day in terms of physical attributes. When defenses play Bryce Young they have everything on tape. They do not respect his arm. Can we just exist within this realm of reality for a moment and acknowledge that? It is the opposite for Mayfield. Baker has always had a tendency to make boneheaded decisions although he seems to have improved that significantly. But defenses always had to account for his arm. It was the same for Sam Darnold. Sam could throw a laser. Sometimes it would be pinpoint accurate. And other times it would be a horrible decision into double or triple coverage. But again defenses had to account for his arm. With Bryce they can cheat coverages. We are seeing what should be routine throws turning into constant 50/50 balls. And throws to the sideline? Forget it. High and out of bounds and that has been the story throughout Bryce Young's career so far. His arm talent is miniscule. It just is what it is unfortunately. But we knew what we were getting. We cannot claim ignorance.

we are also at the point where tough 50/50 balls (like to Saunders) are now deemed layups our guys should get 100% of the time.  They are called 50/50 for a reason. 

We're basically in a situation where those that defend Young are asking our receivers to win all the 50/50 balls - and blaming them when they lose contested catches.

Do you know why our receivers are always having to make contested catches? 'Cos we've got a guy whose ceiling is career backup QB as our starter.

On offense it’s the majority of OL minus Corbett. Then Tmac and Bryce

For the 3rd year in a row Bryce has 1 pass catcher he can throw to. Before it was Thielen and now it’s TMac. That’s literally it. This WR room ain’t much if at all better than the one he had his rookie season. Factor in the coaches and GM’s during this time and it’s a complete circus. 

Bryce didn’t even play bad yesterday. The fumble was rough. 4 and 1 play TMac ran wrong route. The two plays before that were completely wasted by Canales. Interception was more on Legette and a great play by safety who knew what was coming. Nijman was Kalil levels bad. 

This board said all the same things about Baker. This organization makes these QB’s look so f’n bad. Whoever we draft next would be wise to say no and deal with whatever repercussions come with that 

I would bet everything I've got in my bank - and hell the deeds to my house - that if you dropped a good NFL QB into this system the O would hum. 

Sanders, Renfrow, Hubbard, Dowdle, Coker (IR yes I know) are not bad players. The OLine is outstanding. 

T-Mac might be a legit #1 WR, but if that's what it takes to haul in Young's passes then we're poo out of luck 'cos there aren't many of those around.
