Canales on Leggette

I'm a little torn on how bad he was or wasn't Sunday.  His stat line was horrific.  Biggest issue, is XL can't really get himself open.  And when he does get the 50/50 shot he doesn't rally play to his size and doesn't win.  But nothing actually horrific.

and Dave's attempts to scheme him a play where whack.

🤢 Sometimes I feel like I've eaten one of these after watching the Panther's offensive and defensive performances week in and week out.

I mean, you just laid it out for yourself. He can't get open and he can't catch contested passes. That translates to being useless as a WR.

I don't think he played well, but a lot of the balls forced his way were terrible.  Particularly late in the game.  It was like they were trying to get XL the TD to sell more squirrel sandwiches.

oh, he 100% is useless as a WR.   It's why I have been calling him Shenault.  But Dave isn't creative enough in his scheme to really work anything to let an athlete be an athlete.

When Coker is back he should take his job.  And until then, the #87 should be taking his reps.  If Dave is giving #87 some of XL's reps off Sunday alone, just quit pretending to be coach.

I'm just kidding. I love his accent - signed someone who sounds like he was found under a rock in a backwoods Appalachian holler. LOL

Unless you're on defense in which case you're riding the pine behind someone who should be loading trucks at the local Amazon warehouse.

Just shows you the lack of cohesiveness among the coaching staff. I'm guessing there's tension in the meeting rooms

No way he said that lol

The more I hear Canales talk, the more I wouldn't lose sleep if he's canned after this year. I don't think he's the guy for the future, so why keep him around? I'd love for us to clean house and start fresh with a new front office and coaching staff.

Problem is Shenault is basically useless as anything.  If that's what we drafted, then welp.

    • The same folks crying about the OL right now were crying about it in 2023 too. We have tied up over 100 million dollars in two interior olinemen alone. We've invested multiple first and second round picks in the offense. We hired an offensive minded head coach. This is an offensive team. The offense needs to produce or people need to be replaced.
    • This is the same place that has ridiculed and blasted Caleb Williams at every opportunity he has his team sitting at 10-4 in the same NFC that the Panthers are competing in. And their division in the NFC North is as or more competitive as our division. Yet from the same people who have very high standards for Williams we get every excuse imaginable for the smallest starting QB in the league even when he and his team continue to disappoint when the pressure is on. You lot aren't any less inconsistent than anyone else.
    • The Panthers are 9th in cap spent on offense this year.  However next season is already a different story  The Panthers as it stands right now will be 18th in cap spent on offense and 8th in cap spent on defense  The Panthers are currently set to spend more on defense next year than they are on offense this season Guys like Jaycee and Moehrig cap numbers take a big jump. Wharton has a massive cap hit   Jaycee Moehrig and Wharton in 2025 The same 3 in 2026 So this same defense as it stands right now will cost more in 2026 than this offense does right now… Got anything else you want to try?
