You see, this is why I'm more critical of Dave Canales

Jesus dude. Why are you trying to be a white knight on a goddamn message board?

He's going way overboard. I mean, men talk this way all the time. Bryce seems like a fine young man. But he's been piss poor at his job. I wish that I could be piss poor at mine---wait, no I don't---and get paid millions.

The thing is, I've supported Bryce in the past, but he doesn't seem to be the type of QB that what I've heard Chris Canty refer to as a "force multiplier." He can't make good players great, he needs great players to make him good. He's not going to pull out a win when times get tough (at least he hasn't), but he becomes good when there is essentially nothing to play for. After trying to give Bryce the benefit of the doubt, and waiting for the light switch to stay on, I'm tired of waiting. I've seen what I need to see, and it ain't pretty. So excuse me for calling Bryce, "pussified" for not being more aggressive in his pursuit of down field plays. He appears to just not have it in him. I'm sorry, Bryce and all Bryce Stans. He's still got to go though.

There are a lot of things to complain about Bryce. But he takes shots. We throw go balls. It’s not like it’s 2023 Bryce who did not take shots and missed every time when he did

Tepper loves guys that don’t intimidate him.  Steve wilks did and he was gone. Steve wilks also was winning.  Canalas is soft.

Steve Wilks won us some games but was also the coach during some horrible losses. I’ll never forgive him for the horrible coaching job during the second Bucs games. 14-0 lead and he blew it and didn’t adjust when Brady kept tossing bombs to Mike Evans.
So can we STOP bring up Wilks like he was gonna be good. More than likely he would have been one and done. Just like Reich.
His type of coaching doesn’t win Super Bowls anymore. He would have been a great coach in the 90s to early 2000s.

Well, I don't have PFF or NGS, but hear is something ChatGPT produced for me. I'm at work so I don't have time to edit and all that. You get the picture. 55 passes and only really about 5 down field.Screenshot_20250918_141705_Chrome.thumb.jpg.0fe3143692a4e6f8b27dd1aaede91e32.jpg

I don't think that remark was necessary to convey his opinion. But as far as this new position you are taking. None of us have spent the last two years going around here spamming poo reactions over him and trying to dictate conversation. And you yourself have made two threads in two years declaring Bryce Young a bust. I mean that sounds like someone confused and in need of some level of therapy.

When he played like trash at that was his path I called it out. But any real analysis of his play over the last year lets you know that he’s a young QB in a very bad situation. He’s not some generational talent. I keep saying that. Ceiling raiser, not floor raiser. The problem is our floor is so low here it probably won’t work out for him. Not here. But that’s more about the Panthers than him.

His physical attributes aren't going to change on a new team so I have no idea how he would pan out elsewhere but I can logically assume those issues he has had with processing which was supposed to be his key selling point before the draft would follow him. He was also supposed to be someone who thrives when the play breaks down but he has been inconsistent at best on that and at times horrific.

I think where we each take a fork in the road on the determination of Bryce Young currently is you seem to still be treating him as a rookie and not a third year QB still repeating the same mistakes while showing that he has no arm talent to overcome even the slightest bit of adversity. I've said all along his rookie year and his sophomore season that I would be willing to overlook his interceptions if he was pushing the ball downfield consistently and even if he turned the ball over forcing a pass here and there to keep defenses honest I would accept it. But he has nothing. There is no deep passing game here. He threw the ball 55 times in Arizona which was 30 more times than Kyler Murray and only had a little over 100 more passing yards than him. Legitimately you should read that again and ponder it. That is embarrassingly atrocious. Circumstances here are not ideal with the WR's and OL but we cannot normalize this. It is horrendous. And we need to swallow our pride and begin scouting QB's for the 2026 draft. In the meantime this cannot continue on much longer for the sake of the locker room. And the upcoming schedule isn't going to get any better. If there is a silver lining to any of this we are going to find out just who Dave Canales really is throughout the rest of the season. He isn't getting a pass either.

You think someone that size playing QB in the NFL is a pussy? Where’s your self awareness?

Why don't you address the football? You know why you won't? Because you can't. I will give you that "self awareness."

How about you address your own hypocrisy? Stop "Trumping," talking about a trumped up side issue and address Bryce's continued lack of success at doing his job?
