The team will give him a 10yr/1 Billion dollar contract and he can make love to Mrs. Tepper anytime he wants. And you will have to kiss Mr. Tepper balls.

My magic 8 ball told me he's having dinner with the Tepper's Wednesday so I expect a poorly made VHS to digital upload and a 4 year 220m contract extension.

You are missing the point. I just wanted to highlight how board members have a tendency to give up too quickly on QB's as opposed to looking at the coaching staff.

I get that aspect but I genuinely don't believe that Bryce would be helped enough by a far better coaching staff to be even an average NFL starter.

Consider that he has technically had three head coaches in his time here with limited changes in the results.

His best case is Tua, who is not a success.

Okay I read it all.

1) Baker was way out of scheme here. He did not fit what the Panthers were doing at all and a lot of us said that.

2) Darnold fit McAdoos scheme perfectly. I actually think he started turning his career around here those last 6 or so games with Wilkes. We ran heavy and used him in the play action. He was terrible the year before because we never ran the ball and pass rushers just ambushed him every play.

3) I don’t think any other teams are going to spend the time and money to tailor the entire offense to Bryce like we have. Take him and put him on the Titans, Giants, or Broncos and see how he fits in.

Read my later post on it. I don't share the same view on either of those guys. One is still bad and the other was never bad in the first place.

And Young played as well, if not better, than the one who was never bad when comparing their second seasons.

Pretty sure his first two didn't do anything postivie towards his development. If anything, they damaged him.

Not using that as an excuse...just saying.

I would call Baker's season significantly better because he didn't get benched and he actually produced significantly. He also won more games.

Regardless of that season, the career arcs are wildly different. Hell, Baker's worst two seasons would almost match Bryce's "best" season, so far.

Look, is it possible Young turns this around, sure. But I would make a very significant wager it will not. Not with the Panthers, nor the other couple of teams he likely plays for on his way out of the NFL(my personal prediction).

If it was all coaching and development, teams would spend more than the salary cap on coaching and development.  They wouldn't value picking QBs so high in the draft.

The support system matters.  Being on a good team is a lot different than being on a bad team.  But it's a lot more about the player than the environment.  If it wasn't, KC would feel comfortable grooming Mahomes replacement before they paid him.
