Take it for what it’s worth, maybe kicking the tires? I truly hope we don’t do it without an extension first.

One of the best in the league. Would instantly be our best offensive player. At what cost? Two firsts plus Svech and nadeau or some combo.  It won’t be cheap.

Rumored to be seeking 23M per on a shorter term say around 5-6 years. That's pretty steep considering the prospects/NHL pro player going back to MIN. on top of the contract.

Idk about that and I wouldn't call 5-6 shorter max on that kinda dollar should be 4.

Seems more like a crazy ask to get out of minny.....

That said say we send svech back we are the only contender who could do that.

Wouldn't surprise me if Blake is part of that deal.

Svech has a MNTC and would have to waive it to be included in a trade.

You threw his name out there.

If he were to be included as part of a deal, I don't think he'd hesitate waiving his no trade clause.

Given the fact he declined buku bucks over on the HOF hockey board most don't think they will even get svech..... (not even canes fans)

The $$$$ tag plus lack of leverage for Minny could end up seeing him dealt for somthing around what we got for Ranttanen....

Think prospects and draft picks galore. Don't think they'd get anything substantial from the actual Canes. He wants way too much money and very few teams could give him 18-24m per

Agreed ^^^^^

The only roster player who may be in play is still a prospect in Blake (hes one that makes sense and he's a minny native to boot)  Nadeu is a better prospect than many give him credit for think

Blake/Nadeu 2 firsts 2 seconds and maybe a teir 3 prospect or two.

A hefty price tag but one that would no doubt give the Canes the firepower to go toe to toe with Florida..

Kaprisov-Aho-Svech

Ehlers-Jarvis-Hall/Stankoven

(In this scenario acquiring anther elite wing would be enough to finally play Jarvis at C)

Yea its small but that would give us two 1st lines....  and LOTS of firepower think about how easy our first line scored when we had Guetzel and think X2

We gotta give up on the Jarvis center talk. It’s never going to happen.  His shoulder can’t take it. Rod said it.  Stank however, yes.

Yep, he still hasn't had surgery on his shoulder and needs to before center could be a thing.

Dudes needed surgery for three seasons now, doesn't want to miss time I guess.

    • You would hope so. I’m confused why the sports world seems split on Bryce when he’s obviously not working out.
    • So let’s do the reverse? Make everyone agree everything he does is a disaster? I also think the whole “gaslighting” is on the eye of the beholder. It went from he can’t avoid one single sack countered with he actually did that well Sunday (with data backing it) to a little breakdown of why he is so bad. People are going to have different opinions. I’m also not going to pretend this wasn’t happening Day one with this little QB.
    • All this great stuff he has done, how often does he do it?  I have it at three or four games out of 14 where he was very good and then you get a drive here or a series there where there are some good things. Here is the gaslight part: everyone has put him on a curve with his first year the baseline, neglecting to understand how bad he was then. Even if he comes back twice as good, where does that really leave him? 25th ranked or thereabouts.     He had so far to go, and still does, it is a Major ‘settle’ to accept his play as worthy of giving him our future.  You want to settle when the Bucs have Mayfield, and the Saints have overtaken us at QB? We will be third in the division at QB. That is good enough for y’all?
