Dave is sticking by Bryce

As he should

We have Bryce on a rookie deal the next two years. This team lacks soooo much talent that until this organization fixes the roster there is literally zero point in drafting another QB.

Dan and Dave both need to go before we draft another QB. Dan wanted Bryce. Dave simply isn’t a good coach. He wasn’t even a special coordinator. He was simply Dan’s buddy

Bryce did not help this team win, and he didn't lose this game. Everyone is missing the point that Canales is also the biggest issue. Special team plays like ass, Defense is ass, offense is ass. This team is not even competitive!! That's on the HC!!! Replacing Bryce doesn't fix any of these issues!!!

Bryce scored 6 points.   He absolutely lost the game

It doesn't work like that

I don't understand why anyone even wants to see a year 3 from Canales. Especially if you know he's not gonna last like we do.

Canales told yall this was a developmentally minded staff, not meaning they develop players, but that they will build this roster with players that need development (only half joking here).

Clean house. Canales could never get a run game going even on the buccs, but the run game is supposed to be our identity. Let alone the players he has attached his self to. Canales has not shown me he can run a top half of the league offense. Even Daboll showed a lot of potential while having losing season.

I said it before if we keep Canales it will a Bears-like move continuing to go from QB to QB not in parallel with your HC/GM. Our next !B will have two or moer playcallers by year 2 counting interim HC and etc.

Yes it does

there is no way this franchise is going to saddle themselves with Young for 2 more years.  Morgan, I am assuming, is way too smart for that because that is a sure fire way to get canned.  I mean damn look up north and you see that Dart probably just saved the asses of the entire Giants org.

Ive said all year there are literally only 3 options for bryce and the panthers.  Trade, extension or pick up the 5th.

After yesterday Bryce is 98.9% done in Carolina, its not official but we are a ***** hair away from it being so.  Do I want to see Dalton starting, fug no, but from the team reaction from yesterday you cannot trot bryce out there if he has another stinker.  And brother we have 13 games to go.

The NFL is a business. There's zero chance the Panthers enter next summer without legitimate competition in the QB room this go around.

I’ve been begging for them to sign a legit backup for years. preferably a QB that can run to make up for the lack of talent on offense

But this roster as a whole is f*cking awful. I’d say it’s us, Saints and Patriots bottom 3 teams in terms of talent and the Patriots just whopped our ass yesterday lol

But until we start stacking talent on this roster using another high draft pick on a QB to drop into this situation is going to result in similar results

There isn’t a single QB in college right now that’s coming here next year and turning this circus into a competitive team

There is enough talent to be average. Jesus Christ we have:

(2) 1st-round WRs

1st round CB

1st round LT

Over 200 million in other OL

1st round DE worth 90 million

(2) 1000 yard rushers

One of the highest paid safeties

100 million between Wharton and Brown. Plus a 2nd and 3rd spent on Edge Rushers this year.

I mean come on.

    • I wonder if they'd consider trading Rasheed Walker to a team that needs tackle help but missed out in the draft?
    • LOL. This is such a Panthers fan take.  Anyone who falls to us must suck because some other team didn't take them before.  We got lucky with Lemon, Thieneman, and Freeling all falling to us (honestly any of the three is a A+) but the WR and S positions are much deeper than the LT position in this draft.  We got the LT w/ the most upside at 19.  Mauigoa played RT in college and some think he is a guard in the nfl.  Spano played RT in college and some think he is a guard in the NFL due to short arms.  Blake Miller played RT in college and is not as good as Freeling.  Proctor is a true LT but his ability to handle quick edge's worries me (see Icky).  Freeling is a true LT and a gifted pass protector.  Many think he has a very high ceiling and will benefit from not having to start right away.  This is how you build a franchise.
    • After watching Cam get killed for years behind a bad Oline and having to watch the 2021 and 2023 Olines I will never complain about this team putting resources into that spot.  We got a true LT who could really push Rasheed Walker for the day 1 job. Go back and watch Iceky's draft profile from 2022 and all the talk was Ickey would be an all-pro guard in a zone blocking scheme, but he could play LT in a gap power run scheme. That's why Ickey looked really good when Wilks took over and we just started running gap run plays and just mauled people up front but under Canales we've been more of a zone running team. Ickey can survive at LT with his pass blocking but his true strength will always be his ability to just move guys in the run game and that's a skill set that's better used at guard.  Take another OT later on day 3 to learn from Moton to take over RT in a couple of years and let Walker and Freeling battle it out for the day 1 LT job then next offseason trade one of Hunt of Lewis and let Ickey move inside to guard.
