it is a bit exhausting tbh, it's why I've stopped bothering to look into understanding the circumstances and just thrown my hands up. There's just nothing new to add.

but the rest of the team is also in such rough shape, hard to be excited. At least we've got a handful of very good players... Just wish we could get something more consistent and competent going as a team.

Pretty much this ^^^ we know hes not an NFL qb at this point nothing new to add.

It's getting old watching Panthers player look as good as they're ever gonna look on opening day of their rookie season. We just don't develop talent. Chuba is one of the few guys in recent years who has actually significantly improved as Panther vs. when he was drafted. There's a loooooong list of guys who havent.

What makes it worse this time is the fact Dave keeps preaching how he and his staff are a developmental staff

I’m going to assume from day 1 this whole “development” schtick was just a way for him to buy himself some extra time from Tepper

I can’t think of one player that has made legitimate progress under Canales’ staff

Coker proved he could play last preseason. Wasn’t anything Dave did. I can’t think of anyone else someone might say

Demonization is an absurd term to apply in this discussion in relation to Bryce Young.

Demonization would be how fans still outwardly rooted against Cam Newton even after he looked like a generational talent earned rookie of the year honors and MVP. This is not that. At all.

All that is happening currently are people applying expectations of a first overall pick. Even if we lose even if we aren't good show us flashes of what a #1 pick is supposed to do. Elevate YOUR team. And we are not seeing that.

Man, we're past that now. We missed the boat. We crapped out. Only people like "sunshiny" Dave Canales can't see it, don't want to see it, or just don't want to admit it in public for whatever reasons. Maybe the Teppers are suffering from escalation commitment or the sunk-cost fallacy and have their employees mouths on lock. Whatever and whoever is to blame, I hope that the Bryce experience culminates in him being benched and traded sooner rather than later. Evero can go fly a kite too.

I honestly think there's a very good chance that Canales can see it. I just don't know if it's his call. I don't know that he has the ability to bench Bryce without Tepper's blessing. It happened last year so there's hope, I just hope it happens again soon. We need to see Dalton starting ASAP while there's still time on the clock before the trade deadline. We have options right now. We won't have options left in a few weeks. Even if you end up blowing it all up and doing a full reset after this season, you gotta show those candidates that you gave the current crew every chance to be successful because I think the common belief out there in NFL circles right now is that you're fighting a massive uphill battle working for David Tepper.

Honestly, I don't want to see Dalton either (though I know it has to happen), but I'm Bryced out. As a Panthers fan, I've seen enough of him for a lifetime. I say get Double H up to speed, see what he has in a Panthers uniform (if anything), and ultimately plan to draft 9's replacement in April.

I can understand folks being exhausted and not interested in understanding what's happening with something they don't have direct control over. At the same time, I cannot understand some of those same folks feeling threatened by fans that do want to try and understand to the point of where they go out of their way to attack them in multiple threads they're not even participating in.

With a couple of mods not wanting quality discussions and the majority of the active posters just wanting to scream into the void, it doesn't look like it's even worth sharing the all-22 analysis here anymore. I'll keep doing it for myself since it's fun (I've finally got the first half completed, the notes are not pretty) but to hell with trying to provide anything here that isn't scapegoating a single person it seems.

I personally would love a recap. Its helpful to know how bad it is and where it's falling apart. I already know it's nearly everywhere but it helps to know who's developing and who's not. It also helps to evaluate the coaches. But that's just me.

    • Dude, I think I might be having Jarvy withdrawals... I ripped the sleeves off of all of my t-shirts in my sleep last night. Every bite of my Alpha-Bita cereal spelled Seth, this morning. And, I took 7 naps before lunch. I'm losing it guys! Jarvy's Jaunty Band of Jaggoffs are getting more play than he is... smh Team Canada doesn't treasure Jarvis the way he deserves. He should take his band down to Liechtenstein, get a bag of passports, and start his own Olympic team! The raw animal magnetism of Jarvilicious will bring in a handful of NHLers on its own. And, since the IOC believes in collective punishment, he could have his pick of the rookies. Then, just fill out the rest of the roster with the maple blooded great white northerners who couldn't make the top squad. Can't trust this assembled awesomery to just any old Liechtensteinien with a clipboard and a whistle. Gotta bring in a legend worthy of this gold medal gambit. A hockey HOFer with the balls to buck the system and the aura to match our maverick. Huere geil, Vaduz!!! 2030 Gold Medal guaranteed!
    • Tennessee isn't trading a QB on a 2nd round contract that has starting experience.  That's bad business.
    • OT is the top priority as it is both an immediate and future need.  I wouldn't be past trading up slightly to get the guy we want.  You need that rookie contract right now.  Icky is a dead 17.5 million for the season.  Morton is 20+ mil for the season, Hunt is 20+ mil for the season.  There needs to be forward thinking regarding the future.   Caleb Lomu is a left Tackle, he's a solid prospect, he may be the best pick for us now and in the future.  I would seriously consider cutting Hunt after 2026, and let Lomu and Icky fight for the LT job, loser moves inside.  Icky's future may be at guard after this injury anyway.  If Damien Lewis keeps up his level of play he will need to be paid sooner rather than later.  Yosh and BC can be our top two depth OL at an affordable price.  You will need to look at OT again in 2027. Getting an EDGE for the sake of getting an EDGE outside of the top 10 is pretty risky.  I wouldn't be against eyeing someone like Cashius Howell, Derrick Moore, or TJ Parker in the 2nd (even if we trade a future pick to move up) or DDS in the third. I'd love to see us try to sign both Leo Chenal and Matt Millano in FA.   Chenal for the blitzing element we are missing from our LB corps and Millano for his elite coverage.  They could both work in tandem.  Remember, our FO has deep ties to both KC and Buffalo. I love thinking about the draft, but until Free Agency hits, we are clueless.  Looking at the strength of FA and the draft, OL is priority #1, LB #2, and EDGE #3.  We know what happens to Bryce when protection falls apart.
