Any well functioning team benches Bryce

The fumbles are horrendous. I'll give any Bryce hater that.

But outside the fumbles, I actually think he's been very much above average. Not sure you can find 15 guys in the league better than what we've gotten from Bryce. Especially if we can find a way to mitigate those fumbles.

This fan base just polarizes on quarterbacks like none other. There were fans that wanted Cam gone during the MVP season. I think we all need to challenge ourselves to be realistic and open about Bryce. I'm a Bryce defender, but I have to admit he has physical limitations, and he goes dormant sometimes.

I just think he's so much better than QB roulette. When he's not fumbling, we've played some good football.

I never once said I believed in Sam. Only that he’s proof that the Jets and Panthers are bad organizations. You spent all that time on me. I’m flattered.

You aren't any less inconsistent than anyone else here get real. And you've already declared Bryce Young a bust twice.

You were up first thing this morning trying to fight people. The time you spend here is more unhealthy than anyone else clearly. Is this what you do on other social media? Try to get people to fight you then flail about them spending time responding to you? I feel sorry for you. I hope things get better!

sorry to double quote but

A.) you're not fixing fumbles. There's nothign to be fixed about his fumble this weekend, for example. that is just a small person trying to move quickly who's hands are small.

B.) so i like these charts just because all the information is right in front of you and its easy to reference. This is the whole season, not this dumb "well if you cound the last 9 quarters not including the first quarter..." that people are twisting themselves into knots for

Higher/lower = offense is more/less productive. Left/right = quarterback is less/more accurate than expected given field position/defense quality/etc

Don't look top right

We're going to pick eight again aren't we.  Just in time for the top qb's to be off the board.

Yes, we will be just good enough to be out of reach of the top QBs.  Then we will have to ride with Young once again and lustfully look at the '27 QB class where we will also be picking 8th only to miss out on that crop of top QBs.

They don't need to spend their first round pick on a QB.

When do we upgrade at QB, then? Or should we?  We know Young is good for approximately 4-5 wins a year.  This is what Tepper meant when not settling for mediocrity, apparently.

Bryce Young is “very much above average”?

That some propaganda level stuff.

    • Well it's not exactly new information that you don't have to draft a QB in the top 5 to compete for a championship. But the poorly run organizations end up with the first three picks. Most of the QB's drafted there never stand a chance. And then you have teams like the Panthers led by the Tepper's that would rather make a big splash to serve their own egos and get talked about in the media for several weeks by trading all the way up than actually being intelligent and strategic and staying put. Worst outcome in that is if you miss you can try again without mortaging your future. But there is another layer in all this. The league is changing again. Even a guy like Darnold with all his physical tools every box checked in that area did very little in the Super Bowl. Seattle had a stout roster all around. Same thing with the Eagles when they blew out the Chiefs. Yet here we are stuck with the tiniest QB in the league.
    • Which highly drafted QBs have actually experienced having a short leash? Most of these guys get multiple years of starting to show what they have.
    • I actually think Cam Newton is directly to blame for the crazy short leash these QBs are given now.  He was so good so early in his career that he reset the standard for young QB play.  Before he showed up it wasn't uncommon for the learning curve to be a full two or three seasons.  The high draft pick guys that had short careers prior to him typically had injuries or off field issues.
