Drafting X is like the poster board for mistakes. Hopefully, lesson learned.

We're talking about a guy who had 423 receiving yards in his first 4 years of college.  I had more faith in guys like Funchess and LaFell than I do Legette.

For all the LaFail years we experienced here, he actually had a surprisingly long and productive NFL career.

The one thing the XL stans better not say is that we "didn't give him a chance." That dude is getting more targets through 20 career games(104 targets, 5.2/GM) than Mingo(4.7/GM in 24 games) and TMJ(3.1/GM in 36 games) ever did. All this while barely out producing them.

Everyone else has a similar target to catch ratio. He's in a class of his own. 

Horn has out produced his yardage with 1/4 the targets

Y'all so weird "1st round" pick, we had 33, and moved to 32 to get the 5th year option.

He's a 2nd round pick, that they made a smart move at basically no cost to secure contract cintrol.

He was roughly the 6th or 7th guy taken...thats why he was still there...the team knew they were drafting his overall potential and it would take some time. 

AT THE TIME, we had Dj, and Thielen to insulate his development. McConkey played slot we had Thielen...which is who a lot of you wanted.

Dude put up 4 TDs (more than Mingo and TMJ combined if memory serves) and just under 500 yds, raw as a rookie...thrust into a role he was not supposed to fill.

He's also missed time this season, and had a game vs ARI where the bulk of his targets were dirt balls, and overthrows.

The expectations y'all have are wild...

So XL shouldn't have expectations but McConkey didn't seem to struggle with that. How is TMac doing versus expectations? How about Ricky Pearsall? Keon Coleman? Xavier Worthy? 

How about there are 15 rookies from the 2025 draft that have out produced XL in 2025? How do you explain a year under his belt getting less production that 15 fuging rookie WR's. 

But, no....tell us about how we just need to be patient. Because that really worked out well for Mingo and TMJ, after all.

Im not out to hate Leggette. I want to defend him. I want him to catch on. I cant ignore reality.

If he starts playing well I wont hold on to my current perception. It just is what it is. Currently hes a waste of a route in the passing game.

Hence why I say he should be behind Coker, Stephens, Horn, etc. He is basically our 5th best WR at this point.

I think he's starting to be more physical. That is how he should play the game. He'll never be a speedy finesse player. Bull in a China shop is his M.O. Bully smaller DBs every chance he gets. He's definitely run blocking with that mentality and I LOVE it!
