After a tough loss to the 76ers which the Hornets had in their pockets, we have a good chance to get things back on track and improve to 2-1

Lamelo leads the team in points, rebounds and assists with 32 12 11 and 2 steals to boot.

Lamelo now at 35 13 13 and 3.

They came alive in the fourth quarter. I like the dynamic between the group. At least they are playing for one another and keeping games interesting.

That implosion in Philly hurts, the schedule is going to get a lot tougher now and stealing an upset would've helped a lot.  Glad they didn't compound it by losing to a team they are much better than in Washington.

What's the Miller injury?  Any update on his status going forward?

Great win, should be 3-0 but I'll take 2-1. LaMelo is an MVP caliber player, period.

 

This is looking like an incredible draft so far. Sion James looking like the exact type of role player that all contending teams need to have, absolute steal in the 2nd. Kalk is a work in progress and I question how much upside he has but he's already been a considerable upgrade at C for us compared to the last several years (outside of healthy Mark which of course was rare).

 

Really seems like new ownership/front office has change the culture here significantly. Every guy looks bought in now.

WFNZ today said Miles Bridges let the cat out of the bag that LeMelo called out teammates and peeled the paint off the walls at halftime. And man did they respond.

Great sign to see him take a vocal leadership role.

It's not all doom and gloom just yet, but it only took two games for the injury bug to strike the Purple and Teal once again, and now Brandon Miller's status is in question. He left Saturday's game against Philadelphia with a shoulder injury, and on Monday, it was revealed that he has a shoulder subluxation. If it's a non-surgical matter, this injury typically takes 3-6 weeks to heal.

On Tuesday, NBA insider Chris Haynes revealed some news that will have Hornets fans thinking the worst possible outcome.

“League sources have informed me that Brandon Miller is actually seeking a second opinion right now. That can kind of give you a feel on where things are at right now. The Hornets plan to re-evaluate Miller once the team gets back from its road trip, which will be the middle of this week. So I think at that point, Brandon Miller will know more about the second opinion and where to go from here. But anytime you’re getting a second or third opinion, that doesn’t always fare well for your status moving forward.”
