This Bryce Guy (General BY Discussion)

Before the Bucs missed that fourth quarter FG, Bryce was sitting on 16/24 174 yds, a gift Td from the defense, two turnovers including an absolutely pathetic interception on a 10 yard out.

His longest pass was behind the LOS to Rico who broke a two tackles and went 25 yards

His biggest play was a 4th down blimp against cover zero (the only time they go deep) against a backup cornerback, and the pass was still under thrown.

I mean there is a reason he has so many GWD or whatever the stans are calling them.  His play always puts us in a hole

Another factor that I’ve been ruminating on is the fact he only ever needs like 30 yards for a FG attempt. They start every drive on the 35 now, and kickers are all automatic from 50 yards out.

add in that not a single team is playing the pass against the panthers (packers game where Bryce called a timeout with every defender and the hot dog vender on the line of scrimmage) and you get a “stat” that’s completely meaningless with historical context.

True his stats were 16/24 for 174 but if you include Legettes' weekly drop, it increases to 17/24 191. If you include TMacs 31 yrd reception which was negated because of a bogus PI call, he would have been 18/24 222 yrds. That is a 75% comp rate. I know you will say I am cherry picking but he completed both of those passes so he should get credit for them.

No TD is a gift in the NFL.

He only had 1 TO, the fumble is on Rico. Rico should have never tried the lateral when he slipped and besides, that's who the NFL attributed it to.

His longest pass was to TMac ( 31 yards ) - not Rico

His biggest play went around 45 yards in the air with two defenders in his face so it may have been underthrown but it was still a great play.

Bryce did good enough last game despite poor weather conditions, drops, terrible playcalling, and some of the biggest ref fugups you will ever see. But... that was against a Tampa secondary that was bad when fully healthy - we got the walmart version of their secondary because of injuries.

We have seen Bryce against good defenses this year and at his best, he has thrown for like 125 yards and had only 1 turnover. Aka, our defense had to either force multiple turnovers or hold a team to like 13 points or less

are both his feet in the air as he is throwing or is that just how the picture is?
