Fields has played in the NFL for 4.5 years now.

He only has one of his 4.5 seasons that would eclipse Bryce Young's lowest season passing yards per game average. His career average in 58 games is 153.8.

The Fields guys have always wanted to see an even more unwatchable version of Bryce Young. One with literally every physical advantage that could possibly exist for a QB.

Yeah, Fields would be even more frustrating than Bryce. Bryce sucks but you watch Bryce and realize that he just doesn't have the tools so you can't really even blame him. It was just a complete talent evaluation miss. But with Fields you clearly see all of the tools and yet he still just flat out sucks. That would be infuriating to watch.

I don't know - perhaps it's because I've never needed to root for his team's, but I find him more entertaining as at least he can threaten every level of the field.

I am sorry but when I see Bryce’s scrawny little ass out there next to real NFL players I can’t take him seriously as ‘my’ QB. His helmet seems oversized, he just looks like a teenager to me.
I know that is horrible because it takes courage for him to be out there and try to hang with the big boys but I can’t help how I feel about it.
The optics are terrible, they look like defeat and he isn’t doing anything to change the perception. I need to join sizists anonymous.

I do think with Fields you must include his rushing, where he has averaged 800 yards per season over 17 games. So he'd be at 3400 yards total in a season. Bryce in comparison is at 2900 yards passing plus 250 yards rushing so just a bit under Fields. Still not even impressive numbers for either of them.

I personally found Fields more fun to watch l but I wouldn't choose either of them anymore.

And I am sure that we have a few old triple option fans here but that's not the NFL nor does it work, as he has proved at every single stop in the NFL.

He is a poor man's The Golden Calf of Bristol.

I get that. Winning cures all, and shitty play is hard to watch.  What I find difficult is he never feels like a threat - anything he does down field feels astonishing. When I watch Fields I find him frustrating because of how ineffective he can be but there are moments I just know he can break out a huge run or deliver an on target bomb 30 yards down field.

Oh I don't want him here.

I'd just rather watch his brand of football than Bryce's.

I'd rather watch a competent QB over either.

This is exactly what I mean. There is no excuse for him to be this insanely bad.

That isn't a better scenario.

I without question, without equivocation, vehemently disagree.

I don't need to see an infinitely more talented player perform substantially worse than Bryce.

That's a goddamn nightmare.

Yeah, having turnover issues while still putting up numbers is one thing but to have all that talent and still be absolutely stuck in the mud is just something entirely different. All that talent and worse production that Bryce. That's crazy.

This is like watching two teams attempting to point shave without the knowledge the other team is too.

Like Thursday night games, the international games are always sloppy messes.

Once you take NFL teams out of their routines they simply can't adjust.

    • Not sure how much he was a long term piece of this team.   Sucks to not have him as part of the rotation.   Looks like it's Lee Hunter time.
    • This post was an error. Oops and sorry for the errors in the previous one. Too slow to edit.   We’ll see what they do.
    • I am not sure he will put the over the games but we’ll probably have them.   Two things I am thinking.  We have 4 preseason games.  All the coaches have enough service time to know the standards that are in place for decades. If I recall it was play your starters just a series to start woth and build it up until week theee where play a lot and you have week four to set hour roster. Evaluate before cuts.   Bevell will certainly have the whole thing down pat.   I’d they don’t do the fries and frie air will worry too. Because it is set up to do that.     I have said since they went t three preseason people have to figure a new way are still feeling it out and trying things.  We don’t have to this year.
