My yearly Draft a Mountaineer Thread

Maybe just maybe this year we will draft a true Mountaineer.

First up Noel Devine. Would be a good 3rd back and KR/PR

Second is Chris Neild Would help the Dline.

Lastly Robert Sands F/S great size and quickness my top choice to be drafted by the Panthers.

honorable mention to Jock Sanders good speed but no room for him as a WR/RB.

why the hell would we draft Devine, even if we don't re-sign D-Will there are plenty of other needs besides rb, I agree as a Kick/Punt returner we could use him, but not until the later rounds and I doubt he is available then

As far as Neild when is he projected to go

Devine most likely wont go til the 3rd or 4th. Chris Neild wont go til the 6th round earliest is 5th but he will put up some great numbers at the combine.

Robert Sands is the cream he should go 4th but I see him going earlier.

Last I heard Noel Devine weighed about 150 pounds soaking wet. Can someone get this kid some food stamps or something. He's going to get killed in the NFL.

Yeah was surprised at that. He defiantly wont be a every down back he also has durability issues. Honestly the only one I would want the Panthers to take is Sands. Lengthy frame and can still bulk up.

I like Sands but I don't see him being an immediate starter/upgrade. If he falls to the 5th then sure, 4th eh... maybe, but as far as using a 3rd on him I don't think with all our needs that we have the luxury to spend that high of a pick on him solely for depth.

We'll probably get a 3rd round compensatory pick for Pep, which is at the very end of the round, it's basically a 4th rounder. That's the earliest I could see us taking him. Our 3rd at the top of the round, no.
