Passing Yards vs the Falcons in 2025:

Mayfield: 167

McCarthy: 158

Young: 121

Mariota: 156

Allen: 180

Mac Jones: 152

Tua: 205

Maye: 259

Daniel Jones : 255

 𝗕𝗿𝘆𝗰𝗲 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴: 𝟰𝟰𝟴

Young should be buying Rico Dowdle a new car.  You do know the Falcons sold out for the run, correct?  You do know when you commit extra men to the box, closer to the LOS in general, it opens up the passing game., right?  You have noticed this winning streak, save the Saints game when Bryce didn't know how to act when he wasn't handing the ball off to Rico has been Since Dowdle has become the starter?  All of this is not lost on you?

Online culture skews overwhelmingly negative. People use the internet to offload their anger and disappointment because people don't want to hear that crap in real life.

That being said, there are some people on here who are more frustrated than happy when the Panthers win, especially if Bryce has a good game. They would prefer Bryce play awful, we lose out and draft or sign a new QB, than Bryce leads us with good play to a division title and we pick up his 5th year extension. Why? They will say it's because they KNOW Bryce is incapable of being a good QB and say it's better long term for the Panthers to move on sooner than later. But the reality is that they've staked their ego so strongly to that opinion that they can't stomach being wrong. And if that is more important to you than the Panthers success, you're probably not a real fan. But I think there's only a few people like that. I do think most Bryce "haters" would happily eat crow and go buy a Bryce jersey if he starts averaging 300 yards per game

I have been there. If you 100% believe he isn’t the answer why would you want to string it out? Why wouldn’t you hope he plays so bad that we can close the book on him as opposed to taking another three years to figure out he isn’t the guy?

It is up to him, all he ever had to do was play well enough to change minds.

If I saw what he did yesterday a lot more often, even close, I would adjust my thinking.

And there’s a lot more that goes into consistent QB play than just the QB especially when it comes to Bryce

He’s 24 years old in 3 year with year 1 being a complete throw away year. He’s still seeing new things and outside of the fumbles (which every QB has) there’s not a ton of wtf head scratching moments. You’re seeing Young make progress and the only people that can’t see that are the ones that care more about being right

This board thinks a WR taking a ball over the middle and turning it upfield is asking too much. A few times yesterday with Coker and Sanders they failed to pick up 1st downs when they should have. To draft a QB like Young and surround him with guys with little to no YAC ability is beyond stupid. Like I said, eventually this kid will go to a proper situation and be just fine. Hopefully it’s in Carolina because there aren’t many other QBs that are walking into this situation and doing much more.

I do agree that the looming contract situation does complicate things

I can't throw away his rookie season. He played it. It'd be like throwing away Stroud's because he was a rookie.

He's learning the game, but so much has been spent on him to even get him to the point he's at now. Not everything can be blamed on receivers or the FO. At some point, Bryce has to make the plays and he hasn't done that on a consistent basis. It also doesn't appear he's worked on his footwork much if at all on his own and that's still a glaring issue that has nothing to do with anyone else.

It's also easy to say that guys aren't getting YAC but it's just as easy to say Bryce hasn't been putting the ball in place to do so as well. Defenses have been playing that 20 yard box daring us to go over the top. Yesterday we did, and they finally got burned. Opened up the underneath stuff because they couldnt cheat up.

The contract thing is a huge problem because at some point you have to give the defense something. It's not fair to keep pouring everything into the offense and expect the defense to get by on scraps. Bryce has to be able to elevate those around him. For the money he's going to cost, that's what his value is going to have to be.

Finally seeing this game this late into year 3 is troubling. We should have seen it year one or early year 2. As a fan, I still say we need another legit vet QB to compete and a drafted QB, one that fits what we want to do, but it doesnt have to be a high pick. We need to improve our QB room, with our without Bryce.
