I’m not sure people understand how fuging bad it is

That would certainly be the inflection point for the future of the organization.  I think Morgan knows better, but we sure as hell are doomed if he doesn't.

I think Morgan is still on and has been on the Young train the entire time. He would be right behind Tepper to push that button

They need to pull the plug on BY, but they'll give him the entire season to 'prove it'.  Besides, who the hell else is going to play QB?  Regardless of BY, nine rushing attempts combined for Dowdle and Hubbard is beyond comprehension.  Is DC really that bad?

I said that too. With 9 games left. IMO any more games he plays gives him too much of a chance to hoodwink people.

I really thought he could do better. Not that much better but he has been hot garbage except for the Atlanta game.
And playing him is the fairest thing but he is killing the team. And the fan base, what’s left of it

It is like you ordered this expensive meal and it was poorly prepared and you don’t enjoy it but try to eat it because you paid so much for it. When in reality your money is gone, your food sucks, you may as well leave it sitting and go get a hot dog somewhere.

I'm with you. He shouldn't even be on the team next year regardless.

I still think they would 100% do it today if they had to make the choice. You summed it up perfectly and that's how I see this crew already after coming into the year with a resigned Dalton

Was it Kaye, Person or another writer last week that suggested after the success of the ATL game the qb room may look the same in 2026?  It was posted on here at some point.  I hope that was just a gut feeling and not the team floating it out

I can see why the Browns organization and fans would have wanted to move on from Baker due to his demeanor, and attitude disposition without the results.

Bryce however is the model citizen would be the perfect face of your franchise if he was performing on the field.

He's very likeable, so people think you bullying or hating on this kid when you point it out.

No he's just not performing bruh, that's it!!!

I legitimately like Bryce the person. He'd be awesome to root for if he was delivering. He's just not and I don't think he has the physical capability if delivering on a regular basis. That sucks but it just is what it is.

And it wouldn't take much for it to flip right back. They want it so it will just take the right excuses to make it a reality for them.

It's crazy but that's the reality of the situation regardless of feels

We'll never know either way.  He'll never say.  Either we get a free agent in the offseason and draft one in the next 2 years or we're screwed.

Not that it would have moved the needle much but it's weird to me that the dude seemingly never lifts weights

I’m sure it was. Every week the takes flip flop, but to me there have been enough bad games that any idiot in the media should not buy into any flash in the pan hype.  In reality I’m shocked the FO didn’t see last week’s record-setting passing yards as a reason to go ahead and hit the nuke button and give Bryce the extension.

We’re living our some Cold War fear poo and just waiting for the blast.

I think them signing Dalton to a 2 year deal at the beginning of the season is enough proof for me.

I'm afraid we will find out and have another year of crap football served. This time with a harder schedule to boot. Until they dump Young and move on from him being the center of the team or we are firmly screwed IMO.

What part of his game would that help? I doubt many QBs are lifting heavy in the weight room. There's a reason why Jalen Hurts' squat numbers are mentioned a dozen times a game every game. It's a complete anomaly among QBs. He's not gonna lift his way into being over 6 foot tall or having a better arm. How many MLB pitchers are rocked up like a body builder? Throwing arm strength is largely just genetics. You have it or you don't.

Signing dalton was always stupid, signing dalton for 2 years at that rate was a borderline fire-able offense.  Stop giving money to dudes to do them a solid

Most throwers don’t want to bulk up the upper body but strengthening the trunk and legs/thighs/glutes all that stuff would help with the going down from two fingers grabbing you.

I am not trainer don’t know what he should be doing just know if he was stronger in the base he would be more stable.

MLB pitchers work on their lower body, the legs. Being strong there helps the velocity or power.

    • Hello, soccer fans [crickets, tumbleweed flies by]. The World Cup kicks off in less than 2 weeks and, well, 🇺🇸USA USA USA🇺🇸 and all. We beat Senegal 3-2 yesterday in a tune-up friendly at BoA, with Christian Pulisic finally entering the scoring column.  How will we do in the World Cup once our tournament kicks off on the 12th? Well, there are 48 teams (assuming Iran is there) and it feels like one of two thing happens: we get grouped for the first time since '98, or we make it to the Round of 16 for the third time in the last four World Cups. I tried out the lottery for an Atlanta game and struck out, so yesterday was as World Cup as I'll get for in-person ($285/ticket for like Norway vs $39/ticket for USMNT right beforehand was a layup).  The U.S. has a travel-heavy schedule in group play, playing in LA, Seattle and LA. Real road warrior mentality being built. Glad the east coast gets worse kickoff times for a NA World Cup than a Qatar World Cup.
    • Well, that's the thing. Drafting players only for their physical measurables as you are suggesting only really happened during 2024, and X unfortunately has become the poster child for that. To be clear, it's not necessarily about drafting RAS over skill, but RAS over NFL-readiness and/or a solid body of work. Lots of players show skill in college, but those skills don't necessarily translate to the NFL for a multitude of reasons. But, getting back to the main point, to be clear, I believe that our FO is still enamored with physical gifts (who wouldn't be?), but now they're letting Dr. Eric Eager's proprietary system--his "secret sauce" prioritize the players that the Panthers draft, and it seems like it weighs not only a solid body of work, relative to a college career of course, but consistent gradual improvement as evidenced by production pretty highly.
    • Its a good article about how pathetically bad our past drafts ('23 and '24) have been. Building the team in '23 since we weren't ready yet and taking your qb in '24 made so much more sense in hindsight. Ladd McConkey over XL is pretty much a given but not sure it does as much to change Bryce's trajectory as the author suggests.  As bad as '23 and '24 drafts were, the '25 and '26 really give me hope.
