Bump this thread every time a beat reporter doesn’t ask about benching or extending Bryce

Only thing I have seen/heard fron guys like Ellis, council, person and Kaye lately is to let things "play out" with the last 5ish games.   Plenty of time to discuss Bryce in the off season.

As if the last 5 games will change anyone's mind.

“It’s about ethics in sports journalism” etc

i just don’t understand how the concept of Bryce being benched hasn’t come up AT ALL. How is that an offseason topic?

I remember either newton or Ellis via tweet suggesting he might need to be benched after his second interception against Arizona. He deleted the tweet lmao

Old Darin Gantt would have asked it. God knows Pat Yasinskas would ask it today if they let him within a mile of the stadium.

Like was Bryce’s shoe gala that big of an invite for Sheena that she’s not gonna do her job?

Sheena sucks.  Like bad.

You literally can't go into tank mode in a playoff hunt as a head coach. If that's the decision after we are mathematically eliminated, fine.

Not sure what it would prove other than it can actually potentially get worse.

Who's tanking?

I'm putting a better QB under Centre.

Mike White isn't a better QB. He is just an extremely unprepared, different bad QB.

I am not against the move but it would look bad internally and externally to basically sign a really, really, REALLY bad street FA QB to start over your entire depth chart at QB in the middle of a "playoff hunt."

I understand the logic of why you would want to see a different terrible QB but I also understand how difficult that would be to do at this point in the season.

After mathematical elimination, it should be "fug it" territory. Start Dowdle at QB for all I care.

We know how this goes, he will have a decent game and everyone will say he just needs more time or more weapons. Then people on twitter will say “my qb is a reaper” while posting 175 yards 1TD 1 INT and we either win in OT by a FG or get killed by 24. Then we repeat the process next week until BY retires.

Mike white could absolutely run this offense. You get the added benefit of being able to play from under center and threaten the whole field.

I know people like to say "limited offense" with Bryce but White had a cup of coffee here and hasn't been on an active NFL roster but a few weeks over the past 2-3 seasons.

He is going to be REALLY limited in what we can call for him.

Social media retards shouldn't have any sway.

You EXPECT your highly paid front office professionals and coaching staff to be able to determine the NFL playing ability of the players on your roster. When that doesn't happen, the problem is very clear and it's not the player.

I'm willing to deploy the Tecmo Super Bowl playbook to give it a shot.

    • well i could go on & on but i will just highlight it by saying big difference trust me from the SEC & NFL.it's honestly like comparing apples & oranges especially when you are talking about a  LT. in the NFL you are going up against the most athletic freaks of nature the world has to offer . .the NFL also has much more exotic & complicated defensive schemes than what they are used to seeing at Georgis &  finally but most importantly you have to learn how to master complex bio mechanics where the body kick steps instantly as a reaction to these world class athletes rush without really making a conscious effort it's more of a learned muscle memory  & it can take thousands upon thousands of reps to master rproper technique for a LT in the NFL especially if you are still very raw like Monroe Freeling is    ...just saying
    • All that being the case or maybe being the case, we do not know Wharton’s timetable n the first place. They are being coy about it. Or maybe not. They say week to week the board says he is terminal lol and must be replaced. Who knows? It may or may not warrant a fairly drastic solution.  Walker is a bargain and we are not well stocked at OL despite recent investments. Freeling has yet to have a single padded practice. Too much speculation driving this plan IMO.
    • I would really love to know who’s actually making these moves because it’s weirdly vague who’s doing the hiring and firing.
