reality is, he has been the worst QB in the NFL over the last 3 years.  He stinks.  OP can agree again after the next game and rinse and repeat

No it isnt. He's been the worst QB in the NFL since entering thr league. Anyone with common sense is not signing his 5th year option. Tepper is making him the highest paid QBin NFL history.

Looking at the draft and free agency it's probably best in the long run to just focus on the rest of the roster and keeping Bryce around

The fact almost every loss was on Bryce is why he does not deserve his 5th year option. In no universe is he worth 35+ million. But Panthers are stupid so I expect it.

And hope we build the 2019 Niners? Because that is really the only way you are gonna build a contender around Bryce and that type of team doesn't happen very often.
