I agree with all three sides.

(1) It's too early and too bipolar to know where we are.  It feels like we've come off of two wins but we've actually had one shocker where the pieces fell our way and one bye where Jobu accepted our KFC.

(2) However, here's what gives me optimism: The fluky wins were not all fluke.  In each we had parts that clicked. And different parts in different games.  That appears to imply a need for a tune up to click on all cylinders rather than a lemon that starts occasionally.

(3) If we need an HOA pres, I'll be content with WhoKnows.

For now, I agree with Mr. Scott's earlier post.  I'll be happy if we sneak into the playoffs even if we're one and done.  That is better than what I thought we'd have this year and would set the stage for future growth.

I really hate when we get this optimistic and act like this team is right at the cusp. We beat the Rams by 3 even though we had a pick 6, forced another 3 turnovers, had no turnovers and scored two long TDs on 4th down. All that and we still needed Brown to strip Stafford to keep them from forcing OT.

I’m all in and will be at next week’s game but we aren’t anything like some of our past playoff teams that were legitimate SB contenders. We’re just the only team above .500 (by a half game) in the worst division.

There is still a lot of work to be done and we still need good drafts. Tet’s been great but Scourton and Princely aren’t blowing up. A lot of playing time but man we still need more top players. One or two injuries to our stars and we suck.

Why are so many people making this an issue?  It's called a team.  You can't win, especially against good teams if you don't have contributions from all aspects of the game.  Our defense FORCED these turnovers.  That's how you win games.

Let's stop making this all about the offense.  TEAM EVENT.

Could we have a defensive breakdown and a good offensive day? Yes we could. Who knows what to expect from this team, but generally when you think about why we have lost games, it has been underperforming on offense more times than in the other phases.
People should be shining the light on them. They are the unit that has another step to take. This game will probably hinge on them taking it or stumbling over it.

The paragraph I was talking about was about how we got "lucky" by getting those turnovers.  We forced those turnovers and deserved to win the game.

I get your point and hopefully we get more consistency from the offense.

We deserved to win that SF game going by the defense being lucky.

If the offense can step up a level then the defense will get some more scrutiny because the pass rush would likely be a bigger focus. People throwing to catch up, and being allowed to. Because of no pressure.

We have quite a ways to go still.

I’m sorry man, but I have no idea what you are talking about. I think you missed my point.

So you feel the Panthers are honestly a better football team than the Rams??

Reality, we beat a better team.  And sometimes, it takes a lot to happen to be able to do so.

Yet here you are, downplaying how well our team fought as a team, to beat a much better team.

This!!!!

As if the defense doesn't matter in a WIN.  We beat the Rams with a stingy defense and scored enough on offense to win the game.

We should be optimistic if our defense compliments our offense.
