I think they will be out for blood on Sunday.  If they win here then they potentially could be sitting a bunch of folks in week 18 heading into the playoffs

They are also 2-6 in their last 8 and crumbling. Objectively, if they were healthy(especially Baker) this isn't even a discussion. They are a way, way, WAY more talented and generally better coached team.

I think it's really going to be who outsucks who. Not who plays better, who plays the least worst.

1. Not from his draft class.

2. Fool's Gold to the nth degree. One of the dumbest QB's in recent memory.

3. Still better than Bryce.

misread that sorry

CJ stroud is putting up probably slightly better numbers overall and is getting MURDERED out there. Pressured on 70% of his drop backs against the chiefs or something like that? Bryce wouldn’t even survive.

Somewhat. We have seen that here in Bryce's first year.

Bryce's pressure percentages by year have been 24.2%, 26.7% and 21.6%. His sack percentages have been 10.53%, 7.02% and 5.61%.

Stroud's pressure percentages have been 22.0%, 28.0% and 20.4%. His sack percentages have been 7.08%, 8.90% and 6.39%.

Bryce has actually been sacked 114 times to Stroud's 113.

Yeah but they’re moving in different directions.

Panthers nuked their defense to bring in the best free agent linemen available. The Texans just like sacrificed a chicken to the Old Ones and hoped for the best.

What value does a $26.5 mil completely untradeable and middle to lower tier backup QB have?

If they are smart, try to move ASAP this offseason and let some other team decide on that option.

Funny how we said there was no value in washed up Sam Darnold and washed up Baker Mayfield, too.

Just sayin'...

Agreed. We have invested a ton into our OL and they gave away one of the better LT's for more defensive juice.

Brother, if you honestly believe that Bryce is either of those guys, I don't know what to say.

How about this, take those first three seasons of both Mayfield and Darnold and let me know what strikes you as similar? Both with results and attributes.

You know that's not gonna happen, though.

Some retooling of the defensive staff seems likely.

It needs to happen and should have happened as soon as they got back to BOA. But you are probably right as no coach worth his salary is touching this job. We are the new Cleveland Browns of this decade and probably the next decade as well.

We aren't out of the play offs.

And sheesh, we gotta play the kid from New Orleans twice a season for the foreseeable future

This team has been getting better. It's a young team. To even be contending right now is a major step up over what we've been since the Teppers took over.

Breathe. Tune in. Keep the hope alive.

Right there, we are beat. They have put one season into a second round investment and gotten returns that the three years spent on our folly cannot match.
We have to get off of this Bryce treadmill of mediocrity before we can hope to keep up.
