I'll ask you like I asked mrcompletely11, what was it about this game that makes you believe the loss was his fault.

I keep asking but no one has given me a specific reason yet. Just a simple question.

It is a false premise.  Very few blamed him for the loss.

The only cope is you bitching on game threads. You better saddle up cause Bryce will be here the next 2 years

no matter how many weapons we throw at him, it wont change who he is. a physically limited , mediocre qb who struggles to pass for 200 yds. no team goes into playing the panthers and is looking to stop bryce young. The panthers gameplan is to minimize his involvement in the offense as well.

So now Baker is injured? I guess I’m gonna use Bryce wrapped ankle as an excuse also.

And no the bucs line is better than ours, Baker actually has time to attempt 7 step drops. And the saints have the 6th ranked pass defense

Guessing you havent watched any bucs games his left shoulder is f*cked up he cant throw more than 25 yards without tweaking it and leaving for several plays

Are we discussing investment or the game. Im pretty sure we wouldnt be discussing investment if we had won. Trust me, I didnt like the Bryce pick. I was highly against it. But as for the game. Defense flopped. Bryce game managed like he shouldve and didnt create no turnovers.

Our offense could not score against ome of the worst teams in the NFL. They couldn't reach the average score league wide for offenses with 2 full weeks of preparation.

Defense held them to 20. Better than league average. Sorry, but the offense has to be better. To win this game, our defense had to be better than the number 1 ranked scoring defense in the NFL against a rookie making his 8th start because our offense cannot score the league average.

And we're supposed to be playoff contenders. Please.

Well get ready for lots of bitching for two more years...   trust me we realize that... and the copium that he will miraculously become a top ten qb isn't working on us.

after 3 years of this you are still making excuses? Goddamn people

If you think he is a NFL qb then great, thats on you, but there is now 40ish plus games telling us a different story.  Nobody that I have seen has blamed him for the loss, but it was just another "meh" game from him and lol at PFF.

yes byoung is a 150 yard per game qb with 20 rush yards 1td 1 turnover.  that is who he has shown to be.  its year 3 he has had 3 or 4 good games half horrible games and some egh games.  he is a low level trent dilfer winning in the nfl today requires more unless rest of your team is all top notch

Just curious some posters think the loss falls on him.

He had a 96 Qb rating and PFF has him rated with the second highest offensive grade just behind Coker.

Production wise, the offense had 14 first downs. Dowdle had 16 carries getting a single first down. His long run was 8 yards. If you take out that one run, he averaged 2.6 yds/carry over the remaining 15. Hubbard got 3 first downs with 8 carries. Bryce had 10 first downs either through the air or with his legs. yet he gets the blame for the loss.

Even with a 96 QB rating, being rated with the second best pff score and him accounting for over 70% of all the first downs, I keep seeing people argue he was the reason they lost.

Curious.

qb rating meaning less and less when u can get a great qb rating throwing for minimal yards.   i dont believe byoung lost thr game it was actually probably his 4th best game of his career.  with that said if he had played as well as shough panthers would have won.

Then the bitching will continue because Bryce being the starting QB will continue to limit the offense and be a liability.
The offense will improve once the Short King is gone.

Most of the comments I've seen have been very scathingly critical of Canales in game management and decisions. Evero and multiple key defenders have gotten a ton of smoke too.

As far as Bryce goes I think it depends on the viewer. Some people were all about giving him credit for game winning drives even when he basically did little or nothing but still received the credit. Now the same people want to cry foul when Bryce is expected to as a third year QB and a first overall pick not lose to a rookie 2nd round pick 8 games into his career. Well I'm sorry it just doesn't work that way. He's the face of the franchise. He's the third highest paid player on the team this year. The team goes as the QB goes.

Aside from the late sack he was kept relatively clean throughout the bulk of the game even with the injuries we've had along the OL. Shough on the other hand was harassed throughout the game and he still completed passes into tight windows throughout the game. Bryce on the other hand while he is receiving a positive grade for his scrambling saw fit to bail on the pocket throughout the game. Some of those were justified others were not and resulted in missed opportunities.

Then there is the elephant in the room that even Dave Canales himself even uttered the quiet part out loud about. That is the fact that in short yardage situations we cannot under any circumstances use our #1 pick on a QB sneak. Which let's just keep it 100 here. If this were any other team everyone here including the loudest Bryce defenders would be laughing their asses off. All of this encompasses a singular conclusion that no matter how much people may like Bryce Young the person ultimately he does not appear to be a QB that we can compete for and win in the playoffs with. It isn't hating or any other ridiculous label to acknowledge this reality. It's just life.

Who is laughing at Lamar, Mahomes, Rodger’s not running the sneak themselves? They just have a tight end do it.

Why the fug is that not an option for this team if Bryce can’t do it? It’s is such a tired narrative that it negatively affects the team and is some huge flaw.

We could even do a tush push with Bryce and have him find a tiny gap. Then Tremble can shove him through it. Boom, now we’ve turned his size into an unstoppable weapon. Tush Push 2.0
