I’m not rooting for XL to drop passes in game.  But if the primary goal is to win down the stretch…..we would be better off if he was inactive.

I’m not sure wanting Bryce to throw INTs to lose the game.  But zoomed out and our big picture in mind, he ain’t it

maybe this is when he tuns the corner

I haven't seen a lot of rooting against people. A lot of being pessimistic about players or coaches, which is completely fair given their performances at various points.

We've had countless threads and posts bashing everyone from XL to TMac to Sanders to Evans to Tremble to Rico Dowdle to Chuba Hubbard and to basically anyone and everyone on the defense.

The only time anyone calls foul is when it's Bryce Young.

I don't need the last word -- I'm only taking it because you want it.

I just want you to realize people can have their own opinion of players on the team AND still root for the Panthers franchise as a whole to win long term. Open you mind up for once but if you cant see that then we never getting there.

We both happy Panthers won today lets move on

If you can't tell the difference between being critical of someone and actively rooting for an implosion, you're probably not qualified to render as much judgment as you think.

Whatever spat you've got going on in here with one single poster is a completely different subject sir.

This site is toxic AF. It won't be long until it bites the dust. I just want them to win.... but if I can troll along the way the that's good too..

Trolling on forums in 2025 is lame.

Forums are a dying platform but needed more than ever with the rise of social media.

Then why inject yourself into it with an argument that's wholly unrelated? Either of us can be critical of a player (and have been a lot) without rooting against them. I'm not as big a fan of XL the player as I am of XL the dude, but my point was I don't hope he drops his next three passes to justify my negativity. I don't begrudge anyone who thinks Bryce sucks, that's OK to think of any player. My point was that I couldn't want to win but also want one player to suck. This team isn't made up to overcome a lot of that.

This is an old message board.  It’s probably the least toxic setup you can find in today’s world.    Social media is way more toxic and that’s where most sports talk is today.

the average age here is older and big % of folks that don’t want to mess with modern social media sports talk.  Predicting it will bite the dust one day isn’t much of a call but I mean one day it will

So people being pessimistic based on 3 years of performance and what could be deemed inconsistent at best this year is perfectly acceptable then?

    • I guess I should have stipulated outside the sacred cow.   I complained from year one that Bryce should compete for and win the starting job on his own merit but no he was just handed it. I have been right there with everyone that wants competition.  But I don’t really have a huge problem with it for this season the way it has gone because where are the viable people we don’t have to trade for? I actually am okay with tiny hands Pickett because he is so close to Bryce arm strength wise and to be honest, skill wise. Probably. And it is only a one year deal.  That also takes I to account that the QB class is looking stacked next year and if Young fails miserably then we get either a reset or a real competition and there will be more guys that I would like looking at in the FA QB class next year as well.    I sort of accept where we are this year and look at it as a treading water year. I just want to get to next year with some clarity. More than anything. And they did empty out the room. Again, who was really there for us?  And I know it would not be a true competition at this point anyway. They are giving him the year, like it or not.    Also I don’t give a poo about winning games IF he sucks and or goes down after sucking because draft position and that stacked QB class.  And I want out from under him So Bad.     So I guess it is several factors that lessen my anxiety over his backup this particular season.    I am not trying to convince anyone, but you asked.
    • What happened to King? Was he a no show?
    • think these smaller Qb's are going to have a much harder time convincing an NFL team to draft them. not saying a smaller Qb under 6 feet tall will not make an NFL roster .it will most likely be a UDFA contract more or less prove it deal.NFL teams have been burnt time & time again investing in these small NFL Qbs & i think  teams are now finally starting to realize that investing in these smaller Qb's under 6 feet tall is simply a bad idea  ...just saying
