Something Noticed on Game Sealing INT

Recommended Posts

So I was on twitter and I saw this post.

First thing to notice, Cam Jackson, our 5th round rookie we hadnt heard much from did a great job creating pressure up the gut to cause the bad throw from Baker.  Another great thing to see when weve seen SO fuging MUCH good from this draft class.

....Theres one other thing to notice on the play that I didnt see and seems no one has noticed.  Im happy the play went the way it did...but um....Theres a giant 100million dollar, best player on our defense that for some reason isnt on the field...Like evero legit decided to NOT have DB on the field on this play!?!?  That just doesnt make any sense really unless hes injured.

I reacted to a comment on another thread that basically said that Scourton (and TMac) were the only contributors...On this play, 2, day-3 drafted rookies not named Scourton or TMac.   Etienne had a good return.  Horn had a key play on a reverse for 25 yards.  TE Evans caught 3 passes.  UDFA Fitzgerald was 3/3 and kicked the game-winner.  Princely may be the only drafted rookie that did not contribute in a positive way.

dude, and in fairness he had a tweet after the game that had me cracking the fug up in response to someone calling him out for the roughing (That didnt get called) penalty.

Me, watching the play, I didn't hear the whistle calling Latham down and was like "Oh poo! He just set the ball down!" I was really afraid we were going to have one of those "never live it down" moments where  a Buc comes by, snags the live ball and takes it in for a TD as if it was a fumble.

Didn't even notice DB's absence on that play, but if he's regularly being pulled on third down, there may be some rest periods needed for the big guy. Looks like they still handled business, though, so maybe Evero has a better ear to the team than we do.

Jackson has been up and down this season in limited snaps but we need guys like him to perform well. Getting solid contributions from later round picks is how you really ramp up your roster building.

I have been a little miffed with him so far, he was one of my favorite draft picks.
