Lol. I think mentally healthy people don't generally concern themselves with being their own hype man.

But you do you, buddy.

Again with the assumptions buddy this is your make believe mirror scenario.

Creating a false reality you just made up is classic mental health issues.

I would think they have enough to pencil him in as the starter in 2026.

That said, hope he goes out 2025 with a dud and Atlanta romps all over them.

Oh Shough has earned the starting role to pencil him in as next year's starter, they are going to have plenty of other holes they will have to fill first. But again, small sample size, against meidocre to bad teams with little pressure to perform - let's see what happens when more people have film on him. I'm not saying he's a guaranteed bust but I also think most of the board who is already labeling him a franchise QB that we missed on are overreacting to the two games they watched against our inconsistent team.

I definitely wouldn't' say he is a  franchise QB.

but for a rookie QB, 8 starts into his career.......you gotta like what you are seeing from him.  Because regardless of competition, he is playing at high level given the circumstances (rookie that came in on a bad team)

I've been impressed by both Shough and Dart

I’d take Shough’s first 8 or whatever it is over the entire first two years of Bryce. And most of this year.
Want an over reaction? Not sure it is, but:
Swap teams for Shough and Bryce for our two games we would be 2-0 not 0-2.
The guy Shough replaced might beat Bryce out.

.

My post had nothing to do with Bryce, this has been a popular refrain way back to the Fox/Rivera years when we pick up a few late season wins and it was always thought of around here as we only win when it doesn't matter and only there to screw up draft position.

There was a popular narrative here especially last year about Bryce being good when it didn’t count; a lot of people pushed back, of course.

I am not arguing that Shough has not shown more promise than Bryce has - I’m just saying that I don’t see enough evidence yet to think he’s “the one that got away” (like a CJ Stroud or a Jayden Daniels/Drake Maye). Those are two entirely separate conversations.
