Bryce Young is the worst QB in Panthers History

I’m as big of a Bryce hater as anyone here.  It’s not just Bryce.  And I really can think of a fellow hater that believes it’s just him.

but Bryce in no way at his stage projects to be a great QB in time.   He is low ceiling and inconsistent.

2 biggest game changers a team can find are a great coach or QB….so it is what it is.  He occupies a role that if filled with a better player has a lot of impact

Bryce is the Canales of QBs and Canales is the Bryce of QBs. They'll make some plays and win you some games, but lose you just as many if not more, and they're not going to get you anywhere close to a title.

But despite the prevailing opinions of mongoloids on this forum, you CAN do worse in both cases (and will again, too). That's more of my point. It's never one guy's fault whether it's the QB, coach, kicker, DB, WR, RB, OL, whoever.

It's a lazy decision to blame it all on Bryce but I understand the convenience and imagine it was like that on here with Jake/Cam. I certainly found in seconds it was like that with Baker/Darnold, where the people who wanted them cut are now pining for their return/making excuses for them.

And besides, the NFL won't let this team make the playoffs again, not in a million years. So personnel is largely irrelevant anyway.

CRA doesn't even watch the games, usually. He just looks at statlines.

I mean, I can give you a tip.  Trying to run with Mr Scot’s whack bologna ways ain’t the way bruh.  But you seem to be pretty invested given you keep stealing him lines as yours lol.

Yall are still arguing today.

Told you 10 pages ago this thread wasn't about this game or even this season for that matter.

Bryce is the worst actual QB in franchise history and none of these long chronically online ramblings will change that.

It's fine to blame him for what he does or doesn't do, but blaming him for everyone else's mistakes is lazy and stupid. People get sick of that, too.

First of all, I don’t know about your definition of stupid there, but his shortcomings are glaring and provide more than enough ammo for criticism.

I don’t need to say a WR missed a ball on their hands because it was a bad throw when it wasn’t. But sometimes it is a bad throw and not someone being stupid.

Top 10 run D, bottom 10 pass D.

in theory, that game should of been on the QBs shoulders from the jump.  We scored 14 points.  Bryce is always part of the problem cocktail

They literally dared Bryce to win the game but most of the Bryce lovers don’t want to have that convo. He played okay today considering his physical limitations.

Sure but plenty of NFL games go down where balance and ideals go out the window.  Thats just football sometimes.

You can find lots of examples of where teams have had virtually no run game in certain weeks and it got clamped ….We also couldn’t convert a single 3rd down.  Thats got something to do with TOP too.

We all know this pass game isn’t good enough and it starts with Bryce and Dave being the two biggest key for why.  If we want to not be bottom 3rd in 2026….the answer probably has less to do with finding another WR than it does Bryce

When the running game gets clamped to the tune of 19 yards averaging 1.2 a carry it’s a different story. Those teams aren’t winning unless there is some elite defense or passing offense bailing out the running game. That’s all I’m saying about this particular game. Our passing offense was actually above our average which I know is bad. The running game needs a pulse for us to win against an average to below average team.

Chicken or the egg. The assignment is, MAKE them respect you and make them defend the whole field.
They are telling you they don’t think you can do that. You have to force them to change.
Our offense with Young is unable to do that. Just the way it is. Unless/until the passing game can extract payment, it will stay that way.

Yeah they did what the Saints did: stack the box and shut down the run game, and force Bryce to throw. Yikes

The Saints stacked the box? I thought they played 2 high and disrupted our passing game? Every time Rico plays bad it doesn’t mean teams stacked the box. Rico just feasted on some bad defenses earlier in the season. He is banged up, running out of steam like he did last year, and played some tougher run defenses. Rico is solid but you don’t want to force him into being your workhorse all year. It’s why we don’t need to throw money at him or any other RB this offseason.

14 points, we blocked a FG and the defense only allowed one TD that was the opening drive, plus gave a short filed on a turnover. "Clutch" Young had 3-3/4s of the game to take the lead.  He led one legit scoring drive all game, ONE.  Yes, we got a TD on turnover with starting field position in the red zone.  Say it was the rain, but there was some ducks out there and I'm not talking about the feathered kind.  Anything to the sidelines looked like the ball had helium in it.  Hopefully next year will be his last in a Panthers uniform.  I wish him luck as a backup somewhere. Andy Dalton can attest, it's a pretty sweet gig.

My mistake. I assumed that defenses wouldn’t respect the deep passing game enough to commit significant resources to defending against it.
