We have already beat them once this season

I think there is a chance

I'm going to choose to believe until the season is over!

When you make it, it's all a fresh start. We're all 0-0, and one thing I thought about today...it's not even about who the better team is. It's about who has a better day. I'm hoping we do both against them.

Bought my tickets about 30 minutes ago. I don’t care if we lose. It’s been 10 years for a home playoff game at BOA.

I'm in Phoenix but told my gf I've always wanted to go to a playoff game...who knows when we'll be back again

The key to the game is to put it on Bryce's (and the PASSING offense's) shoulders. Instead of the running game. That will keep the Rams defense guessing, open up run lanes for Rico/Chuba, and (assuming this gets the offense into a rhythm) keep the defense fresh through all 60 minutes. The defense needs to keep Stafford off balance all game long (so it’s important that the offense stays on the field and gives the defense enough time to rest and remain fresh). We keep talking about the run game needing to get better, but that will not happen by leaning more on running; it will happen more by passing. And stick with this strategy till the end. Stop treating Bryce with kid gloves. Stop playing it safe. Take chances. Give Bryce the reins. Open up the playbook for him. Even if we lose, we will at least have some answers to some of the muddled questions about the off-season and path forward. This was his 3rd year, for goodness' sake, how much longer are we going to experiment? And if we win and go to the next round, that just improves our chances, as the next team won't know what to expect from us either (right now, they know what to expect, which is why we lose). This makes it a win-win-win all around, not just for this season, but looking ahead to the next few years.

I agree with that. I just don't know if Canales will actually do this. He loves  running up the gut on predictable early downs and loves his cutesy screens and passes in the backfield.

We only beat the Rams last time because of multiple turnovers from the defense and converting multiple 4th downs through the air.

They'll have to be aggressive again if we want to win again. We simply do not have the talent to win against a Rams team that is vastly superior to us in talent and coaching. You also can't expect them to turn the ball over 3x again either .

Nice, I was contemplating but didn't feel like throwing down $250. I'm tempted to make a 4 hour drive to Charlotte and be with locals for the game though

Rams or 49ers both tough either way as teams, I think we'll get more home fans vs the Rams though so should be loud when they are on offense. LA people rarely give a poo about sports

This is very true, if it was the 49ers, it would be a heavy SF crowd, they travel well for playoff games.  But the Rams barely have home field advantage in LA usually, there shouldn't be a massive Rams contingent in town for the game.

They screwed around with the Raiders and Chargers so much in Cali that people in socal that actually like sports got all confused

    • I miss many of the OGs like @ladypanther Zob had a bad off week and came in here to do some mopping and a couple of the 10 year 15k post account he just banned over a silly disagreement, just odd behavior from Zob. A Pessimal deal happened with Lady and others. I tired to find a new forum and could not get around the signing up part...same for discord. Its not perfect here by any means, but I still feel welcomed here for the most part and this place does have the most freedom. I hate how the right vs left BS nearly cooked this place, I still believe in removing the litterbox, toxic as hell and lollolols @ anyone coming into a team forum to talk about pointless politics of the uni party turds.  @Bear Hands you saved this place with your activity. It helped offset the lost of OGs and the knowledgeable that leftd.    It would help for new members and I do get the spammers deals, just got to mod them away and hope opening the door brings in fresh blood.
    • Young went to bama and Brissett went to nc state.
    • That seems about right. No higher than that for a bottom third qb with two years left, including one expensive year. He played well enough last year to show he is startable. It depends on whether other teams thought he has any upside left and whether he's been hindered by coaching and surrounding cast. I think most teams would answer no, but if they thought he could step it up just a little I could see trading a fourth or fifth for a bridge guy/top tier backup.
