I simply posted the year end final stats.  At the years end.  Playoffs are always viewed as a next chapter.  Which is why the stats are also separated.

and it’s relevant to how we now have to go about finding a way to compete…as we all guess the right strategy that should be used on Saturday.   And it will be relevant after that.

don’t participate in this thread then bro.  It’s that easy.   Go do Rams only talk or whatever your preference is

Gotcha. So when can we expect your Defense and Special teams evaluations. Hopefully you can get to that before the weekend.

I didn't start the post - you did. I just questioned why.

It’s been answered.  Regular season is over.  It’s looking at where Dave (a rare O HC here) stands at the conclusion of his second year.  And you are whining.

People need to realize our owner is such a douche AND Young sucks so bad at QB that Canales was literally the ONLY coach that probably even wanted this job.

I still think he sucks and isn't qualified for the job but people need to be realistic about the true situation of the Carolina Panthers too

Stefanski would take our job in a heartbeat if the Giants don’t offer

It’s a bend don’t break strategy. Good offenses can pick it apart but he has been working with a deficit in defensive talent in his defense. Regardless Evero is a FA after this season.

Yea, but when you never apply ANNY pressure, you just bend, and bend, and bend, and bend and then MAYYYYYYYYYYBE dont break on a 3rd and 1 inside the 10, giving the opposition infinite time and limiting offensive opportunities.  We literally give up like 3rd and 20 type plays because our DBs are playing in the costco parking lot.

I literally almost did D with this one.  I opted not to here because I think that deserves its own.

Evero is the most controversial guy not named Bryce on the huddle and it would dominate most likely.

I feel like our running game really started to get going then drastically regressed.

Think it’s 2 things

1 -we hit a stretch of bad defenses when it popped off and it was mid season

2 - teams then really zeroed in on not letting that be a thing and often it was some better defenses going about that mission

But if good NFL defenses want to zero in and stop the run….it gets bottled. Tough to run your way out of that issue.  Pass has to make them pay big for that.

I guess I stand corrected. You are enjoying yourself as you whine about how bad the offense is.

Sorry. My bad.

It matters because we're getting ready to go against an offensive juggernaut that drove against our defense at will last time. We won because of 3 key turnovers, 1 in the red zone, 1 returned for a TD and 1 to take final possession from the Rams. We also had 2 4th down TDs that weren't part of standard offensive game plan. That's what it took to beat them last time. We're going to have to do better. DC is going to have to be better. You can't rely on 3 TO, a defensive score and 2 4th down TDs to get you there.

totally agree

while I haven't gone deep into the x's and o's it seemed like when rico was flourshing we were running more outside stuff too and now that has died down

further, it does seem like somewhere along the way rico got hurt, he just hasn't looked the same since midseason

dave took over the worst team in the league by a good margin and whether you agree with it or not we are a playoff team in his second season.

He's more than earned a third season but I think even Dave would tell you he has a lot he can improve on moving forward
