Jackson is better than Horn

I don't think he's better but it is closer than it should be and honestly if not for a baffling gaffe from Puka on a play where Jaycee got burnt like toast we may have never had the lead late in the game.

Ironically, if Horn hadn't gotten hurt again (which he kinda caused from what I saw), then maybe he'd have been the difference on that last drive.

No he’s not, teams avoid throwing to Horn side. Jackson gets a ton of targets his way

He gets more targets than Horn that's for sure but why even both with the boundary when you can land a plane in the middle of the field

I wish we had run some plays this year where we had Horn in man and had everybody else in zone. Almost like a box and 1 in bball where you have your best defender guard the other team's best player on offense and zone everybody else.

I like most of our starting secondary (Even Nick Scott grew on me the 2nd half of the season). Definitely want a better nickel corner, but otherwise we just need to focus on our front 7 outside of DB

He’s not. He’s just the corner where the action is thrown to and when he makes a play it looks like he’s doing something while Horn is erasing the other side. Still a stud though.

Jackson was leading the NFL in passes defended prior to todays game. I would guess he will still be leading after todays game. He has as many ints as Horn and the pick 6. Horn has the most or next to most pass interference and defensive holding calls for a db in the NFL this season. Jackson has 1. Horn has a 4 year, 100 million dollar contract. Jackson has a 14.5 million dollar contract.

Saying Jackson was better today is not saying Horn isn't good.

Horn may be talented, but he is far from disciplined.

Do we choose to forget how bad Horn gets burned. Puka took advantage of Horns weakness that he choose not to improve. That talent wears off with the years and it won't cover his faults up for long.

I would much rather have 2 Mike Jacksons and 1 Micah Parsons over 1 Mike Jackson and 1 Jaycee Horn.

I'd trade Jaycee Horn for 1 Mike Jackson or Donte Jackson and a top 10 pick.

Mike Jackson, Donte Jackson and Micah Parsons or Mike Jackson and Jaycee Horn?

Here's a better one....

Mac Jones, Tyler Shough, Jahmyr Gibbs, Chase Brown, TMac, Garrett Wilson, DJ Moore, Ladd McConkey, Brock Bowers, Zack Tom, Caelan Carson

or

Jaycee Horn, Ikem Ekwonu, Matt Corral, Bryce Young, Jonathon Brooks, Tmac

That's how bad it's been

Kind of side tracked you got there, it isnt as if we have any of those options, and the price tag on your Parsons isnt equivalent in either $ or draft capital.

Every corner gets burned there are no truly elite shut down guys this era of football, if we had anything close to a pass rush yes we'd be fine with Mike jacksons, of course if we had a pass rush jaycee would also get burned far less.

    • Give me Anthony Hill Jr or give me death
    • We need a Sam Off Ball Backer to pair with Lloyd. Lloyd is a strong Interior Will especially in Pass Coverage- but that is also Trevin Wallace’s archetype. Need a Rozeboom style run stopper. Rodriguez and Allen fit that
    • There aren’t that many ways to screw Day 2 up.  That’d be them making an obvious reach, or selecting at one of the few positions that we are pretty solid at. Because as excited as we are for the growth and improvement this team is showing, it’s still not an overly talented or deep roster. Honestly, there aren’t really many positions I’d feel bad about. Feelings about Bryce aside (because we are not going to select a QB), it’s really RB (bad positional value) and that’s it. I guess OT too since we grabbed Freeling in Round 1.    While not as high on my wish list as other spots, you can justify WR or TE.     Interior offensive lineman who would likely take over an interior spot either this year (at center) or guard (next for cap casualty of Hunt or Lewis)? Fine by me.   Dlineman? Yes, that’s a highly rotational position and we have zero quality depth.    ILB? Yep, could stand for an upgrade over Wallace.    EDGE? Absolutely wouldn’t hate another option to spell Phillips, Scourton, and Princely.    FS?  Would love to add better coverage skill set to the backend of the defense. Moehrig and Ransom are great in run support but not as good deep. Adding a more traditional FS would allow us to mix and match/run some 3 safety sub packages and or a big nickel type look with a SS down near the line for better run support in possible pass downs.    CB? Could stand to get better at nickel.
