I've come to the conclusion that while Cam may have a very high ceiling, he's going to be a project and we don't need to spend the # 1 overall pick on a guy that's going to need the amount of work Cam will need before he can contribute.

exactly which is why its a better choice for a team with a starter in place to draft him. he can sit, develop and wait his turn.

if done correctly, he'll show up in 3 or 4 years. dallas sounds like a landing place, maybe new orleans, new england.....

but with the work needed, he won't be successful starting immediately. clausen was trained in a pro style offense and bombed. newton wasn't, so he'd be tremendously better than clausen? doubtful.

He has a good and bad side. The real question is how fast does he learn. Everyone of the QBs in this draft have the ability to play but not all have the mental capacity. As I have said all along his interview is the most important.
