Is J-Stew a team propagandist?

Well, I did admit "Homer" was a better word. "Propaganda," on its face is not hyperbolic in this sense, nor is it necessarily a negative word. Only due to fairly recent events is there a fully negative connotation (which I also alluded to), so I don't know what to tell you.

@LinvilleGorge or any mod feel free to change the term. Thanks.

Lol. Propoganda has been a charged word for well over 100 years. Are you a vampire?

I don’t know about the word itself, but people use propaganda as a tool through they can obtain political power.

People that do propaganda suck.

Stew is biased. He isn’t twisting facts lobbying and trying to fool people, he just has an opinion.  I would maybe call him a somewhat of a shill though, when he minimizes negatives to paint the organization in the most positive light he can.

He is being paid by the team.
Also, he knows the players personally.
You aren’t gonna get any controversial negatives out of him publicly.

Even if you're somewhat correct--not totally--it's still not hyperbole.

J-Stew is an ex-panther who is a huge fan of the team and also on the pay role.  He also knows these guys personally.

Is it good marketing?  Propaganda? An opinion?  His argument in a court of law?

I think the real question is what the fug does it matter?

I mean, why does any of this stuff matter? Just something to shoot the sh¡t about.

Propaganda is the direct implication that this is he being used by the Panthers to spout a message.

This is a poor example of that, in my estimation. He is far more likely to just be a homer. This isn't abnormal behavior from him.

It's hyperbolic because you are spinning it as some greater thing from Panthers HQ, which is very likely is not.

You realize that it doesn't have to come from the Panthers HQ to be spin? If you live and breath something---basically drink the Kool aid---espousing the company line can come natural.

    • No, both instances of references to the defense were specific to the run defense.  I should have said "run defense" the 2nd time.  You admit there has been ample personal issue but then use those stats to support your argument. I'm not arguing on the effectiveness of his specific scheme overall.  I'm saying he is only now getting the proper personal to run his scheme.  The stats are the stats and while I don't disagree with any of what you're saying, 3 years of those stats are based on the Panthers front office not giving him the tools to run a competitive NFL defense until this year with D. Brown getting healthy and the additional of Tre'von Moehrig. I want to see his defense when we don't have multiple key starter positions manned with players who would IMHO are not starting level players.  With some talent  I say all this while not being a big fan of his scheme.  I would prefer a 4-3 but that's neither here or there. And yes, I would call getting requests and interviews from other teams who want to hire him good evidence that he may be a pretty good DC and has a lot of potential as a HC. In 2022 he had HC requests from the Broncos, Colts, and Texans.  He also had requests for DC from the Vikings, Falcons and the Panthers.  We hired him to be our DC. In 2023 it was the Falcons, Raiders and Seahawks for a HC position. In 2024 the Falcons, Seahawks and the Panthers interviewd him for HC.  We blocked the Jags from a DC interview. In 2025 (which is this years hiring cycle) so far its the Falcons, Raiders and just today the Steelers, all for the HC position.
    • The Giants still may be crap but they just improved somewhat by hiring Harbaugh,
    • Yeah I was almost going to mention the finger but he did so well last week after whatever they did to it at halftime I let it go. It could get hit and messed up worse, it is a weak point.    Weather and home field crowd in Chicago are huge challenges no doubt. I can’t really be confident in LA but the inexperience of Chicago in a game with this stuff at stake is likely to be a factor, enough to make it hard to be confident in them. So who knows….
