Over the past two seasons, they've basically slid to an upper middle of the pack defense while their offense has trended more and more toward the "save me Superman QB" stuff we did with Cam. Their overall roster has absolutely been trending downward.

Still not terrible. Ebbs and flows, man. They're offense has always been perceived that way. It's nothing new. Their two biggest, problems, in my mind, has been a lack of a WR1/2 most years and Pat Mahomes. They absolutely can address the first, but will just have to deal with the second. Ironically, I think that KC has that same issue. 

Buffalo may not have to deal with Mahomes next season either (at least not at his best), so it will be important for the new coach to hit the ground running. Newly promoted Brandon Beane has his work cut out for him.

You can argue he's choked, but dude had no WRs. If he had 1-2 elite WRs on that team ... give him a ring. Dude can only do so much by himself.

I would hardly call two years a trend, especially knowing they dynamics of football, but if that's what you want to go with, then fine. 

I will caution you that there are other metrics that can be better indicators, or at least provide more context to a "trend" than points allowed.

It’s very obviously the amount of injuries they’ve had on defense over the last 4-5 years. In a perfect world Buffalo hires evero and we sign McDermott but I bet he takes a year away honestly

They've certainly had some key injuries, which are ingrained within the real and/or perceived success or failure of the team.
