LAST MINUTE: Panthers teasing something later today

Recommended Posts

Its a good video. Fairly honest evaluation of the season if you take it for what it is. It covers the things that went well and  touches on some of the not so well. It does give you an idea of how the  players interact with each other and what they are really like on game day.

This was an excellent production, well worth your time

The thumbnail suggests it's going to heavily feature our replacement level QB so I'll give it a miss, thanks.

Great behind-the-scenes Hype video that gave kudos to Canales, Bryce, Jaycee, Mike Jack, Derrick Brown, TMac, Moehrig, Rico, and a few others.

A little disappointed by many of the comments. Sad and a little weird the video can't be enjoyed by those that hate Young that much. News flash - he ain't going anywhere anytime soon. Just my opinion... but if you can't enjoy the team with Bryce Young as the QB, then you're probably wasting your time cheering for this team right now. You're either gonna be disappointed by the wins, or find yourself looking forward to the loses. Not a good place to dwell in as a fan.

Better than I thought. Lots of heavy hitter analysts on here too (Schefty, JJ, Riddick, Erdahl, Rappaport).

Forgot how important that Miami game was after getting destroyed in NE. Agree with everyone else, 9 is our guy for now, so get your feelings in order regardless of which side of the fence you’re on. I loved watching his energy and it’s hard to not root for him.

If we get this defense sorted out and put out a decent OL, we are in a very good place.

Its the off-seasons start and Panthers drop a 50 min season review with honest takes from top paid reporters and many in the huddle are upset they featured players that included BY?? And others don't want to watch Panthers fluff?? huh?!?!

I just...... whatever you bunch of weirdos. This type of content is very welcomed even with midget BY being shown as a hero for some of the games. I was already wanting a panther 'fix" and this delivered and I member when Panthers didn't even have a YouTube or did recap videos. Jesus you people, be thankful....

Its right there with the draft recaps, great production and money spent. So sad Panthers fans have found faults and didn't want to watch.

I may watch it again in the near future being that I am a Panthers fan....

Be careful y’all don't fall off that rickety old soap box.

I wasn’t gonna point out an irritating bit from that thing but why not? Coming up.

It is absolutely fluff. And it’s okay to feel good because it has the best plays. That is straight sugar, with sugar on top and a bowl on the side.

Not sure any fugups were addressed, past the digging of the 1-3 hole and the 1st half of the Miami game. Then the plot and narratives shifts to redemption. It is big ascension, like the title.

But just for instance, the MNF SF embarrassment… they showed all the picks our defense made to lay the game at Bryce’s feet in that first half.
But none of him tripping over it and being unable to take advantage of it at all.  They just went to the final score.

So that’s what kind of mindset you have. The heavy hitters? Paid no doubt. I know Riddick has been on Bryce’s jock since Alabama.

It is what it is. Of course all highlights with quality, slick production values are going to make you feel good. And it is natural to feel good. But don’t twist it, I mean I felt good and still understood what it was.
People getting upset over people not interested in it, you’ll get over it.

But why are we singling out the QB? So none of the olinemen made bad plays giving up immediate pressure - up the middle by Corbett, Mays, Zavala, Hunt and Lewis and outside by Ickey. Didn't see them point that out. Jaycee didn't get torched by Olave in both Saints games? Didn't see them point that out. TMac dropped passes in big situations. Jimmy Horn dropped a pass in the playoffs. XL forgetting how to control his body on the field. Moehrig misplayed the pass that led to the game winning TD in the playoffs after our QB led us to a 4 point lead with less than 3 minutes to go in the game. Defensive pass rush was almost non-existent except for a few games. None of that was brought up and you don't seem to have issue with it. But every bad moment by the QB should be highlighted in a hype video?

Bryce may not be the answer. Right now I don't think he is. But I feel like he can be if he is more aggressive passing downfield. Either way I'm not gonna crap on a guy that's really not in a great situation, because I expect him to correct all the wrongs and deficits of an entire team.

I don’t see his situation as all that bad? At all to be honest.

A lot of it is they have shoved him down our throats for three years and they minimize or totally ignore the negatives. We’ve been getting Bryce sunshine pumped up our butts for a long time now - a lot of people are just tired of it.

At the same time, this is a puff piece not a hard hitting critique. It isn’t like we should expect much different. But if you wonder why people are cynical about it, I don’t understand that. Seems to be a clear cause for it.

When they see 1-3 finish when it was must win, but now he is our hero? That is the ultimate blue skying. Were there a few positives? Was progress made? Absolutely. But people put way too much sugar on it.

    • If you're looking for a pat on the back it sounds good in theory until you realize they also had the 2023 Panthers as the top draft class.
    • Going into the 2003 and 2015 seasons we were supposed to be the joke of the league each time. In 2003, John Fox was supposed to still be in rebuild mode. We had a guy named Peppers on the defensive line who was supposed to be pretty good. We had Rodney Peete as our starting QB and a line that was a lot of hope and not much experience. Our new running back was a guy the Redskins, errrr Commanders, had jettisoned for being too old. We had a good kicker and writers thought that was needed because there were going to be more field goals than touch downs. Heck, it looked like they were right up until just before halftime of that first game when we had to yank Rodney Peete and put in some Cajun duded whose name couldn't be pronounced. And Steve Smith? He wasn't Smitty yet. Moose Muhammad, well, he was close to being written off as a bust. You know how that turned out. And then in 2015, we had Cam Newton, who was electrifying to watch but hadn't really won anything yet. There was an offensive line in front of him that looked like it was made in a defunct Swiss cheese factory and our big hope on offense was the great Kelvin Benjamin. And then he got taken out for the year with a knee injury in training camp. Ted "Feet of Lightning, Hands of Stone" Ginn became our default go to guy beside our next best hope, yeah, Devin Funchess. Our defense was pretty good, a scrappy bunch with frikkin' awesome linebacker play and a cornerback who had done more than drank the Kool-Aid, but had snorted the powder. He played like a superhero and became sort of a bat-man during the season. By the Super Bowl he had completely lost his freaking mind, though, and managed to talk his way out of a contract with the team next year. No one was expecting us to win the NFCSouth that season, much less almost go undefeated and into the Super Bowl. So, 2026? Who knows? But our best seasons came when no one had a reason to believe in us, except us.
    • it's not so much this personal vendetta against the Carolina Panthers as it is more about Bryce Young never not once been in the same conversation with the top 15 or even top 20 Qbs in the NFL ..just saying
