So, "Start Pickett" thread when?

And before anyone says anything, this is the same place that had threads wanting to start Chris Weinke over Jake Delhomme.

Week 1 would be a safe bet. Start Weinke was a weekly thread.

You never drink corn liquor. You sip it. I've seen many a rookie think they can handle a big drink and end up face down in the dirt 30 minutes later.

Yeah after it happens to you, at least you get to watch others do the same thing.
I had never had any and was not warned and it was so smooth. Luckily I ended up n the backseat of a random car not the dirt and was left alone to sleep it off.

You're lucky if you don't wakeup covered in your own body fluids. My first time I woke up behind the wheel of my dad's car and was stuck on railroad tracks. I missed the crossing completely. It was a long time before I touched the stuff again.

Weinke could at least throw the ball. I can see people calling for him in like, preseason 2003. Jake is a legend to me just for 2003 alone. Hell the first game was enough to not forget him. And after we got rolling I can’t imagine calling for Weinke or Peete or anyone.

That’s lucky. Driving on it? I couldn’t walk on it.  I bet that stuff has buried a lot of people behind a wheel.

It happened. Hard to believe but it did. It will happen the first time Young throws a pick or misses a throw. Its inevitable.

I got behind the wheel before it kicked in. As the old saying goes, I thought I had more time. I didn't know it would kick in so fast and I wasn't warned about the sip verses drink effect. Rookie making rookie mistakes.

Well you were lucky and that’s a good thing. You have to survive your mistakes to learn from them.

I didn't sip mine either. I have no memory of it. I just know the pictures all my friends took. Evidently it was something I would have wished I could remembered. Afterwards they said I passed out and the only knew I was alive because they heard my head lift up and hit the floor. Probably should have called an ambulance for alcohol poisoning. Evidently it was good times. I just remember none of it.

Being young. And free. I drank so much on a NYE when I was about 20 I was sick for over a week. Alcohol poisoning for sure. Last time I drank Scotch pretty much. Peppermint schnapps and champaign on top of a bottle of Johnny Walker or Chivas or something. Was on a mission. I completed it.
Like I said, you have to survive to learn from your mistakes. Somehow I did survive. So far. But I am bad at the learning part.
