Oh poo. I didn’t realize he would be out of the backfield.  That plays right into Bryce’s little passing chart and skill set. Dammit. Now I’m torn.
I had him pictured as a line up on the LOS typical TE.

Still rather have a RB doing that type of thing.

We should use him like Mccaffrey. Line him up all over the field.

Absolutely disgusting, all of the Panthers WR except for T-Mac are at the bottom of the barrel.

Tmac falls right at the coveted 2.3 line number.

Like I said that analytic graph is the first one in 20 years that pays off. 95% of the top 24 WRs had at least one 2.1 or higher season in college, Brain Thomas Jr and DK Metcalf are the outliers. You see the guys 2.0 and lower, 95% have struggled in the NFL. Some are with great coaching minds and still..... Plus if NFL teams run zone 70% of time and you're too low IQ to get open in college..... I mean the numbers is batting around a .95 hit rate, you got to include that.

I mean I will take the guys in 3s and someone else take the 1.8s......3 vs 3 is a first round 10 seconds KO. Its not a deal breaker, but the odds heavily favor anyone above 2.3 and anyone around 1.9 has been hella bad and teams invested 1s 2s ala Panthers......

Could've told you that about Elijah Sarrat going back to his JMU days. The only other receiver I've really seen (until recently) have as much success against App State is Jalen Tolbert when he was at South Alabama.

If it were me, I go defense and try to get Elijah in the 2nd or 3rd round.

Im super open and wanting Lance to be there in 3rd, he's highly under-rated. Ill take your word for Sarrat, Im not going to act like I researched him, very few and only ones ranked around panthers pick. Lance is a sleeper pick if they miss out in the first two rounds.

    • Brother. You are wholly confusing comparing situations and applying actual standards like most other franchises do like simply getting into a playoff series and winning at least 1 or 2 series games with praising. Nobody is praising the Hawks. Nobody is praising the Magic. Nobody here likes those teams. But reality is reality. The Hawks like other franchises have traded players fired coaches etc but they can still win a couple playoff games. How is that not the bare floor for you or anyone else? What are we doing here if it isn't? We've seen eye to eye on many things over the years. But you are in the camp on the Hornets where you are emotionally attached to LaMelo where you feel the need to carry his water like he's got that juice. That's cool that you feel that way. It's your prerogative. But I differ from that viewpoint entirely. If he had that juice we would not have gotten wiped off the court in 2 play in games with 2 different coaching staffs and rosters. if people don't like hearing that well I'm sorry but how the hell is this team ever going to get better and ultimately go anywhere in the postseason if we just blindly pat them on the back for getting their asses whooped before they actually even get into the real playoffs? There seem to be some Bryce Young level standards being applied here. That's wild to me. But to each his own.
    • Proctor/Freeling were always the belles of the ball where we were picking. What those two *could* become at OT was far greater than what others could be at their respective positions and I’m glad our FO could see that.
    • I mean, our TE room does suck but we had other pressing needs and no surefire upgrades in the draft. I was surprised at how many TEs went in the first three rounds. I think most everyone was. You want a guy who projects at least as a guy who has the potential ceiling to be a starter in those rounds and I didn't see 11 of those in this draft. Off the top of my head, I think that's how many TEs went in the first three rounds. It was in that range. That's roughly 10% of the overall picks. Definitely did NOT see that coming with this TE class.
