It's not on Freddie though, the guys are playing bad defense in front of him but also Montreal is attacking Rod's system efficiently and effectively. Montreal has had like 3 clean breakaways already and almost every shot they've taken has been a high danger chance.

The plus side is Montreal has started fast and finished slow a lot

4-1 in period one is almost insurmountable. As it has been said before. Rods system can only get you so far and the ECF is a far as it can get us. I don't know or want to think about who could replace him but as long as Rod is the coach we will never make the Stanley Cup.

No… but we’re not this bad. They can beat these guys within the system…. I think. Decent D and it’s 1-1. We will see. Hopefully we see some D and grit the remainder of the game to carry forward.
