Its funny you say all that when the qb u want so bad is a has been wco qb. I would take Palmer over mcnabb here any day of the week.

Just because McNabb played in a WCO doesn't mean that's the only thing he's capable of... he throws a really nice deep ball.

Personally I'd take the QB who is still physically capable of performing his job (McNabb)

McNabb is infamous with Eagles fans for underthrowing receivers.

Did you watch ANY Washington games? McNabb was terrible last season. He fuging got benched TWICE in the same season.

Tired of reading most of you say Palmer is not needed here.

News Flash: He would instantly be the best QB the Panthers have ever had.

6'5, 236lbs , he fits the physical mold that Rivera has stated he wants.

31 years old, 9 years experience. He has 4-5 good years left in him. He would not be a "stop gap"

First overall pick in 2003. Guess what, he wasn't a bust unlike the majority of QB's in this years draft inevitably will be.

Career QB rating of 86.9. Palmer was 6th in the league in passing in 2010 EVEN THOUGH the Bengals averaged a league low 3.6 yards per carry on the ground. Think teams were game planning against the run? Think again.

In short, shut your pie holes, we would be fortunate to get Palmer.

At what price. If it is going to take two #1 draft picks than no.

I would love to have him but is he good enough to give the farm away is my only thing!

He threw for 4,000 yards last season....an immediately and significant upgrade over anything we have or anything that we could bet in the draft or FA.

Saying he's a significant upgrade over anything we have isn't saying much, LOL

All things being equal, I'd much rather get McNabb... there's clearly something wrong with Palmer's arm.

Whether our up and coming QB next season is Clausen, Cam, or Gabbert....it is VERY clear that we must have a vet starter. And, Palmer is better than any other option in FA or that would be available in a trade (for a decent price).

Despite your mean comment to me on another thread ; I agree :grouphug::grouphug:

:D:D

I did, the Skins are a crappy team and any QB who goes there is doomed to fail.

You think we have a bad offensive line and a crappy receiving corp? ...take a look at the Skins. Most of the Skins o-line starters wouldn't even make it as backups on other teams. I watched enough of the Skins to know that McNabb had no time to throw the ball and was running for his life, because nobody was open.

McNabb is infamous with Eagles fans for underthrowing receivers.

Eagles fans could probably overlook that due to the high yards TDS and rating and low interceptions he compiled for 11 years.

I get the feeling if were were pursuing Joe Montana in his prime people would complain about his throwing motion

    • I think his football IQ is well below average. I do not think he can read defenses at all. He is not the long term answer. I'm getting worried about DC. I think he has problems seeing the big picture for each game. Some people can't accept it, but this game is greatly affected by momentum. It's hard to explain but you can just feel his decisions break it at least two or three times a game (I think he is pretty solid when it comes to 4th down decisions). My biggest concern is this. You have seen these coaches time and time again. For some reason you have these coaches that absolutely will not go with what is working. We need a name for these coaches, what is it? If something is working great, they just do not have the intelligence to comprehend that something working is actually good for their team. They cannot understand this. AND REPORTERS NEED TO CALL THIS OUT. Rushing was insane for the past two games...ok let's take half his carries away and have Bryce air it out (look at the attempts he had). The reporters need to freaking ask "((this)) was working, you didn't do ((this)), do you consider that bad coaching? If so, why? If not, why do you defend doing the opposite of what it best?" Anyone knows you keep doing something until they stop it. But you have these coaches that think the are going to pull a fast one on them and do the thing that is not working. Dave is starting to remind me of that guy in the movie Kung Pow. I think his name was Weeblow or something, he had those squeaky shoes when he ran around. The Kung Fu masters trained him wrong as a joke, so he did things to get the crap beat out of him instead of winning the fight. I am going to start calling Dave Canales WEEBLOW if he keeps doing the opposite of what would win. But seriously, if he is going to be that type of coach, I would honestly get rid of him after this season. You 100% do not want a coach with this flaw...they may have one good fluke season but it will be years of terrible teams.
    • I mean the Bronco's only won by 1, but no one there is complaining.
    • A QB who can't consistently throw the ball 20 yards downfield has no business being a starting QB in this league. That is a backup QB who you put in there to manage a game when your starter goes down.
