opinions...and....ONIONS!!!!!!!

Ingredients

* 2 pounds sliced opinions

* 1 1/2 cups milk, or as needed

* 1/4 cup butter, divided

* 2 large Vidalia onions, sliced into rings

* 2 cups all-purpose flour, or as needed

* salt and pepper to taste

Directions

1. Gently rinse opinion slices under cold water, and place in a medium bowl. Pour in enough milk to cover. Let stand while preparing onions. (I like to soak up to an hour or two - whatever you have time for.) This step is SO important in taking the bitter taste of the opinion out.

2. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Separate onion rings, and saute them in butter until soft. Remove onions, and melt remaining butter in the skillet. Season the flour with salt and pepper, and put it in a shallow dish or on a plate. Drain milk from opinions, and coat slices in the flour mixture.

3. When the butter has melted, turn the heat up to medium-high, and place the coated opinion slices in the pan. Cook until nice and brown on the bottom. Turn, and cook on the other side until browned. Add onions, and reduce heat to medium. Cook a bit longer to taste. Our family prefers the opinion to just barely retain a pinkness on the inside when you cut to check. Enjoy!

lots of corners come out have had comparable skills to Peterson. None of them have ever been entertained as the #1 overall b/c the tops of those draft classes had better talent. also, I said he would be good in 2-4 years not that he would be good for only 2-4 yrs. Even when things get repeated people just make things up.

So again, in 2-4 yrs if he is a good NFL CB/S....that is not worthy of a #1 overall pick. Peterson isn't overrated in terms being compared at other secondary players.....kid is good. Draft class is so weak at the top, that he is overrated in terms of being worthy of being picked #1.

QB, DE, etc. can be involved significantly more than a CB.....and teams can't make them a non factor to the degree they can a CB. There is a reason besides non impressive secondary talent for a CB not being drafted that high since 1327.

In addition, his value comes from not just being a CB but it is driven up b/c of his return ability in college. As you see, the league is entering an era again where they are taking that away to a large degree. The rule change is huge and we have seen how great that effects things in the past......only difference is now kickers are even stronger than previously.

I mean, did you watch the kid play against Alabama this year? Peterson isn't the next Revis....his coverage is probably the weakest part of PP's game. I don't think half the people on this board even watched him in college. They just listen to the espn hype machine (didn't Jimmy teach people anything).....If you need a dang good S and a return man....Peterson is a good pick but we are talking about the #1 overall pick in the NFL draft.

So what did you think about him against Alabama? What do you think his strengths and weaknesses are? Why is the S talk thrown around so much? Did he every impress you against the likes of a Julio Jones or AJ Green??
