We cant sign him until a new CBA is made but when there is we should take him. Would fill a huge need.

Ummm I'm pretty sure he wasn't very good on one of the worst defenses in a long time, so I wouldn't get that excited about it.

The switch to 3-4 is only part of him being let go, he's been a pretty big disappointment for the Texans. He never really lived up to his contract or where he was drafted.

But he's still better than the practice squad caliber DTs we have now. We really need to add 2-3 DTs this offseason, so at 23 years old giving him a low end contract wouldn't be the worst idea. Just don't expect him to be some world beater.

Exactly. I know he isnt great but he is a young guy with experience that could step right in and fill a need.

Wouldn't mind bringing him in. If he succeeds then we got a great young DT that can be here for a while. If he fails why not? Young and has upside? Not like we drafted him with a high pick.

He actually looked like he was getting 'it' this season.

One thing is for certain, do not, under any circumstances, expect him to be a force against the run. He would only fit as our 3-tech DT and is fairly decent at it.

He is basically a young version of Damione Lewis.

I don't think he's actually been released or anything. Was his contract up? If he's still under contract they might hold onto him because they don't have that many bodies along the defensive line.
