(Sorry if this is old, I've been out of the country and internet deprived for the past week)

anyway, in don banks' new mock draft, he has us taking Gabbert. whats more telling is this line:

Every time Rivera talked glowingly of Gabbert's "presence,'' or how much the NFL has become a passing league, I thought I sensed the direction Carolina's new head coach wants to go

im sure this is just him blowing smoke up our asses, so take it for what its worth

Newton has blown smoke up our asses 100000 times and he still has some smoke stashed in his laptop case which came with the laptop he stole. I'm tired of Newton threads.

Yet you're the one that mentions Newton in a Gabbert thread. Are you the one blowing smoke up our asses?

I'd really be suprised if Gabbert ended up being good, but you never know. If and to me that's a big "if" we draft I'd definately support him. Who can you really compare him too in the NFL? I honestly do know of anyone who's good that looked like him as a rookie. His production dropped when the star recievers left. You can look at ability on the chalkboard and that's a big plus, but what about when you're on the field. If you've played any sport you know there's a big difference from a workout(pro day) and game day. When the pressure is on he doesn't look like the confident QB.
